How to distribute touches between chuba and dowdle

Chuba will be back real soon. Two different running styles. Keep feeding Rico or split the carries. Sure it worked with double trouble. It's a good problem to have.

Bryce will have it alot easier if they can keep running successfully. Hopefully they will find a way to keep Rico. Keep the train rolling. So split carries or favor one over the other. What is your opinion.

I feel Rico and Hubbard are at their best with volume and rhythm.  I don’t like split reps.  Pick a lead horse and ride him.  NFL isn’t setup for one to stay healthy all year.  Ride Rico until Hubbard gets a shot to earn it back

I was very impressed with the cuts Rico made today. I think there were a few runs that would have gone for like 2-3 yards that turned into 10 yard runs because of his cut backs.

It should be Rico's job for the foreseeable future. Don't fix what isn't broken. Revisit later in the season.

Also, your steady reminder, don’t pay RBs to big deals.  It’s the easiest position to find. 

Rico is outplaying Hubbard.  Some practice squad RB for the Chargers just went for about 150 on the Phins today.

I get the hot hand thing, to me, just my thought, treat them as 1A and 1B.  That said, also treat them DIFFERENTLY as 1A and 1B.  IMO, start Chuba, run him heavy first half, spell him on third downs with rico, then give Rico the 2nd half.  ALL 2nd half.  Rico was gassed toward the end, we had etienne spell him, that shouldnt happen.  Let chuba grind in 1/2 and rico finish.

Either this or legit just go game by game, rico gets the jets, chuba gets the bills.  If you think they are volume runners, let them get their volume for a full game then rest the next week with them as an option off the bench.  It hasnt really been done but I dont know why it wouldnt work and also save lifespans for RBs.

I think we stick with Rico. The only thing to watch is these cramps he is getting late in the game. I think we still want to feed chuba some to keep Rico fresh but not so much that it hurts his rhythm

Dowdle is a very patient runner with excellent burst.  He also has something to prove.

Give Ricco the rock. I love Chubba but i think he’s the better run right now.

Rico is popping but so is the Oline, the running lanes have been massive.

My first reaction is number one, we need to run the ball a lot more than we have done under Canales. 

Rico is getting worn down late. And he can’t keep this up for 17 games. Get them each 15 carries a game a game. If you are in the game in the 4th and you are wearing them down then it is the time to give it to whichever has hot the hand that day. He’ll get the 20 chances. 
There will be dings to each, that’s where it should roll like the last two weeks and Etienne can get some time.

This. Spell the other guy when he needs a breather. Like when Dallas and Ettiene came in today to give Dowdle a breather. We must do whatever it takes to win.

You roll with Rico, and spell his touches. I think the key is to letting them both get some rhythm. Towards the end of the game Rico was gassed would’ve been good timing for chuba
