Can we poach any bottom dwellers in a trade?  Jets or Dolphins?

Chubb is available for trade.... I don't know about surrent chubb, but I thought he was going to be like Parsons or have a similar impact....

* I think he's getting around 20 million this year....so thats over one mill per game....maybe ask the phins to kick in some $$$$ as well..

I think the main point was saving $$$ and they were able to roll over the cash saving next year too.

*I also think they didn't forsee drafting 2 edges and didn't want lazy clowney to rub off on them. Either one can coast by on shear talent like clowney has for 10 years...

It would have to be the bad influence factor for me to endorse it.
The money they can deal with. I believe there was dead cap from it as it is.

Thats a given. But the point remains that an already struggling pass rush group just lost their best rusher, if you can call him that at this point.

Oh sure, and this is obviously a loss for the defense overall.

But it's not like we're losing someone Brown where it's a massive downgrade to replace him.  There's even a very valid argument to make that with increased snaps, Scourton and/or Princely could end up playing better in a few weeks than Jones would have been playing himself.

Sometimes players just step up their game to a new level when given more of an opportunity.

I think I would part with our second for Trey Hendrickson if he resigns for 3-4 years.

A second rounder who will turn thirty one this season and will be 35 at the end of a huge contract when we still need to find a qb and fill so many other holes? I don't understand the win now mentality on here.  I guess optimism is a good thing but...

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
