He is the president of the Huddle TMac fan club so he is a bit oversensitized to something that isn't even remotely offensive in the slightest. I don't really like when people call me by my last name but in various work settings, it happens all the time. I don't get my panties in a bunch over it.

It's true that he doesn't like Tet because it does mean daddy in his native language. His mother doesn't like him being called Tet. He is ok with T-Mac or Nalo. I also heard this in a predraft podcast earlier this year.

Mark will probably be getting a new nickname soon. It's probably going to be dirty.

He’s a frisbee dog who wants to run to the post and track balls in the air. He struggles picking up balls quickly on slants and screens. Both of these are problems considering the qb and offensive scheme. This also helps explains his relative lack of touchdowns. 

Currently 31st in the nfl for ypc at 14, behind Bijan Robinson. On pace for just over 1000 yards, five touchdowns, 75 catches  

he can make circus catches and at times looks like the fastest guy on the field 

Probably in a bad situation for his skill set.

His mother has literally said she finds the nickname disrespectful to her and the name she gave him.

In the Polynesian culture, names are often given with a deeper meaning behind it than just being their name, so shortening the name to something else, yes, is disrespectful to them.

"Tet" isn't a nickname like other people are bringing up how people don't get to choose their "nickname", it's the shortening of his name so it's just easier for people to say his name for them.  That shortening of his name is something he and his family find disrespectful and they don't like it.

But sure, just keep going with the "people don't get to pick their own nickname" line.

If Tet means Daddy I don’t see it as a bad thing. “Daddy McMillan” sounds just as normal as TMac or Nalo or other weird poo

I think Egbuka is a very polished guy, for sure. TMac has some refinement that needs to happen. His ceiling is probably higher than Egbuka's but for that to matter you have to eventually reach it.

I definitely don't have buyers remorse on TMac. Great pick.
