"Stop overreacting. It's only one loss. The season isn't dead."

We know what's coming...

8-9 or better would surprise me.  We'll probably get 2-3 more wins, all in division.

ATL, TB wk18 (bc they're resting), & split Saints

5-7 wins coming again.  Pick 7-12

It's definition of insanity, seeing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.  This is the David Tepper Panthers and until he sales the team or completely changes how he runs things, this is the product we get year after year.

The season was dead at conception. If the schedule wasn't so easy upfront then everyone would already know this. They won some slap fights agaisnt other losers but got slapped in the face by the reality of the situation. This is still not a good team and it's still questionable if they are building more than better than 'historically bad'.

The Huddle is so emotional. Watch other games. Enjoy the sport and get some perspective. Many of you have very unrealistic expectations for a team this young.

And the vet presence is dwindling down every game with injuries. Hunt, Lewis, Corbett, Mays, Christensen, Moton, Bryce, XL and Coker all missing time and/or games. Pat Jones, Wannum, Wallace and Wharton on defense. If everything went our way, this was an 8 or 9 win team at best. Everything has not gone our way.

Coker and Legette missed games too

By a large margin, coaching is this team’s biggest weakness. It’s not QB, which is a big deal, but not worse than coach.

Canales has shown ZERO aptitude/desire to change strategy when his first punch is rendered useless. He must HATE running the ball successfully because I have no other explanation. EVERY TIME, When the Panthers are getting scorched, it’s like he wants to then highlight the air raid offense that the Panthers clearly don’t have in an effort to catch up. It’s exactly the opposite of what a normal OC would do.

For 3 games in a row, no defense has an answer for Rico. The adjustment was so damn obvious.

You’ve got your washed up backup QB playing behind an injured line and he’s giving the game away to a very well rested and aggressive defense. You’ve got an injured RB who isn’t getting it done. You’ve got another RB who looks unstoppable…. So you pass more and then go with the injured guy to tote the rock?

It’s complete malpractice.

I don't think anybody with a brain thought or thinks we are a legit super bowl contender this year.

I do LOVE the young core group that is forming. Part of the reason I defend Bryce Young is that if he is not good enough, we're going to waste a lot of this young talent we have anyway.

You don't go from 5-12 to super bowl contender in one offseason unless you get a major injury back or get an insane free agent haul. We currently can't hang with the best teams in the league.

We are also much closer than we were 365 days ago. Progress is good. There's still an outside shot at the playoffs, but I am really excited to see what Dan Morgan does with this offseason. Rico Dowdle a big decision. Jalen Coker, Brycen Tremaine, Cade Mays, Austin Corbett, Brady Christensen, Nick Scott and Christian Rozeboom are the guys we have to make decisions on. But this rebuild should be over next August. Or we have to do it again.

Improvements needed at pass rush and linebacker for sure.

Expecting us to win a super bowl this year is like expecting a kindergartener to do calculus. Is it possible? I guess so. but 99.9% shot it aint happening. We played like doo-doo against the bills, but that was definitely a penciled in loss from the day the schedule came out. Candidly though, if Bryce is ever going to be it, next year is the year we need to start being really good.

Yesterday was predictable and some predicted it.

We were due for that bubble to pop. We were outclassed going into it, coaching staff and roster both.

It doesn’t feel that bad when you predict it but when you have to watch it In real time it is extremely deflating.

I somehow was starting to believe the panthers had a chance that the defense was really good and rico could just keep running and hide the horrific qb play.....but nope the team is terrible even during the wins they have looked like garbage except for when rico ran like a mad man.  Interesting stats below comparing andy dalton and byoung this year.  Andy sucks father time zapped all he had, but byoung isnt the savior by any means funny how many articles I have seen of if young had played panthers would have won.  All the panthers qbs suck

andy dalton stats from that horrible bills game and byoung from the year.  image.png.229a4142c9d40ce345bbd7013c5e5623.pngimage.png.7030d5f77f19b1e774c75792a4956f09.png

I knew it was going to be a loss but it didn't need to be a blowout. Canales could have kept it a respectable loss had he just ran the damn ball with Rico and the score would not have been 40 to 3 blowout at least.

There is some overreaction but look at the Schedule:

Green Bay- Probably a loss but who knows, they poo the bed sometimes.

Saints- Dumpster fire (Don’t be dramatic they are way worse)

Falcons- Already won once.

49ers- Literally falling apart, one of the worst injury riddled teams in the last decade.

Rams- This will be bad.

Saints- See above.

Bucs- probably a loss but still a divisional game.

Seattle- Darnolds revenge game, will probably lose.

Bucs- See above.

We likely win 3 MAYBE 4 of the remaining games which is 7-10 or 8-9 and exactly where we were supposed to be this season. We are not good enough yet to be where a lot of people are expecting us to be. 7-8 wins is success for us right now.

Canales is incapable of stopping losses from going pear shaped.

He’d rather lose by 40 with his completely figured out/inept offense than just run it and keep things respectable.

I’m still optimistic because of this upcoming schedule, but the oline injuries from yesterday are going to be tough to overcome.

Also, have to get even average QB play.

Yeah most of us are typing the same poo re Canales and Rico. He better get his act together.

Prior to the game he was all in on the series for each back.
After the game he did allow that he would look at it.

Subtke shift may mean nothing may mean he accepts that it isn’t the way.

It was a reality check

We are still a bad team

Only slightly better than MIA or NYJ, but still in the bottom five

Basically.  Rico for 2 weeks did unimaginable.  It’s not really a winning gameplan to think he can go for 200+ and lift all boats.

we don’t have a mid passing game and we don’t have a mid D.  Only so much a run game can do.  We are still a bottom 3rd team.

schedule about to get real
