I think they held him out because he was not 100%, unable yo take reps with the team and they didn’t realize how terrible Dalton would be

Unless Dave Canales and Dan Morgan just completely had the Bears and Commanders games from last year completely wiped from their memory they knew full well what they were getting months ago with Andy Dalton when they both saw fit to give him an extension.

Whatever this mess is about Andy hurting his thumb is the same fưckery they pulled last year when they needed an excuse to send him back to the bench.

If this were any other franchise we would be laughing our asses off and mocking them relentlessly. Hard truth.

I’ll give you credit. You saw this Dalton fall off from a mile away and were banging the drums for an upgrade in the offseason.

Why did they go into the game and shaq was still able to call out plays?? Just horse poo coaching there, for the love of gods Dave, its not difficult for grown pros to flip plays and use different code words.....

This is under things you can control.
You can’t control Andy playing as if it was is first NFL game but you can have a secure line of communication.

Im the forums worst speller by far. I confused Google enough with my first try of spelling that word, it spit out that and that was good enough for my neanderthal brain...

Does it to me all the time. What happens is they throttle my speed and there is a lag, the predictive spelling slips something crazy in when I am typing the next line and I miss it.

From the presser it appears they didnt know Dalton was injured until after the game.

He should have took himself out the gsme because he didnt do us any favors by staying in there.

You can't just assume Hooker is terrible because this coaching staff didnt turn to him, without injury to Chuba, Rico wouldn't have gotten on the field outside spot duty.

You trolling us right? Alpha? Alpo maybe.
But hey as long as we’re stuck with him sure, let’s see 4 TD passes and a major upset.

I understand liking a player and defending him, but I just can’t get over the amount of people that think he is some all pro mvp bad ass. I just don’t get it

I turned it off, I'd rather it be spelt wrong than say something I didn't mean to say

    • I'm not too familiar with Chenal so this might be a lazy question..... Would a Chenal signing be any similar to us giving Turk a big contract? An under appreciated fringe starter in KC that teammates and front offices love and envision them taking off in a new city.
    • I LOOOOVED Nick Emmanwori in last year's draft and seeing him thrive and become an instant leader of Seattle's defense this year makes me want a similar rookie beside Moehrig.  In scanning this year's draft, I came across Zakee Wheatley from PSU. Not exactly the same build, but Senior Bowl measurements have him at a hair under 6'3" & 200lbs and runs a 4.4. His acceleration, ability to span the field and be a true center field coverage safety would allow Moehrig to float more near the LOS and play to his strengths with a worthy compliment. Wheatley is a modern day lengthy SAF and he excels in zone coverage, isn't afraid to get dirty in the run game and has a nose for the ball.  We play such a soft cover-3 scheme that having someone with speed to roam would be great. I'd especially like to see us roll Ransom out there with these two as well with Horn/Jackson to secure that backend for us. Looking like a R2 pick as of now with some saying early third. If he truly is an athletic specimen that his numbers show, I assume he will only climb higher after the combine.  https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25250463-nfl-draft-2026-scouting-report-penn-state-s-zakee-wheatley Will defnitely look to see how he does at the Sr. Bowl this weekend and in Indy next month.
    • Yeah, I can see that too. Sticky, reliable hands that does not drop a lot of balls and runs the whole route tree.
