Would you be willing to trade Chuba?

Everybody willing to trade Chuba until Rico comes back to earth and isn't avg 6 yds a carry. Then we are back wishing we had a 2 RB tandem. I don't think it's the time to trade either RB. If Rico stays hot, at the end of season we are probably going to have to let him go anyway, because we won't pay him what he will be looking for. If he does come back down to earth with his numbers maybe we can afford to keep both RBs or we let one go then. I think we just need Rico to get 65% of the carries and distribute the rest.

I mean, we still suck either way. Right now, Chuba's performance last season just looks like a massive anomaly. Other than last year Chuba had looked like a decent rotational RB and nothing more.

Chuba is pretty replaceable. Good but not a great player. Rico could come back to earth but you can tell by watching him that he has more burst and is the more dynamic player.

They are both replaceable.  Dowdle's been great, but it's a rotational position.  Unless you have a HOF level back I'm not sure its worth locking one into a big contract.

Chuba is running like a RB that just got a 2nd contract.

Rico is running like a RB on a contract year.

Rico is going to be the more aggressive of the 2 because he's trying to get paid. Contract year performances are what they are. Just don't be the team to pay a big contract based off a contract year.

I just think Chuba is not 100%. I'm not advocating for him or Dowdle, but Chubba had over 1110 yds total in 23, over 1300 last year, and was a top ten back both of those years. And not to mention he was doing it with a team that no passing game at all, and a mediocre OL. Just saying... Chubba is above average when healthy. But I want to make it clear, I do think DC not giving Rico the majority of carries the last few weeks after the tear he was on, is a fireable offense.

Yes, with a decent line, almost any NFL caliber RB can be a 1,000 yard rusher. We've got talent waiting in the wings and it's a position we are pretty deep at this season.

I like Chuba, but I don't imagine I'd regret trading him while he had value.

There’s like 7 players I wouldn’t trade

Derrick Brown

Jaycee Horn

Nic Scourton

Tetairoa McMillian

Princely Umanmielan

Mitchell Evans

Icky Ekwonu

Ryan Fitzgerald

I had 8 on my list, so yeah I pretty much agree. Everyone else, I am listening to offers.

I would probably trade Chuba but I haven’t looked at the FA RB market for next year.
We have done well with replacing RBs the last few years so I wouldn’t let that stop me.
I wouldn’t give him away though and I’d want to see if RICO was receptive to a deal first, I guess.
edit: I would also consider the locker room and what kind of impact it might have first.

Yeah, especially if Brooks' rehab is going well. I wouldn't want to depend on him for anything beyond promising depth after back to back ACLs but I'd be open to moving Chuba and his contract and giving Rico more snaps.

I'm all for trading Chuba but I would not be expecting anything at all from Brooks in the NFL. View any contribution from him as purely a bonus cherry on top, but I would have different plan A, plan B and plan C at the position before Brooks if we trade Chuba, don't sign Rico, etc.
