In pro football, if a team is held to 17 points, there is zero excuse for an offense not winning the game

Zero

absolutely  zero

The same could be said for the other side right now.  Grueling game.

Many were calling a blowout before or soon after it started.  Whether we win or lose, we did a lot better than expected.  I still have faith we will win.

#1 overall pick $39 million guaranteed. 3rd NFL season as a starter.

Nah it's got nothing to do with him....

Rare time I agree with you. He needs to show up on this drive

I posted a few weeks ago that my father, a Gamecock who caught 37 passes the year I was born--he knows football, told me the sign of a good QB is this--if you were behind and you had the ball on your 20,2 minutes left, and 2 time outs, would you feel that the game is yours?  He called that the measure of an NFL QB--because you need a gamer--an Alpha.

Yeah I don’t feel that. I feel like Bryce will

make a mistake to blow a chance for overtime haha

BY needs to show franchise potential here

It would be so typically Bryce to pull glory out of the crap fest he has provided for us to watch. Then he is lauded loudly all week.

they are pro players. they need one more stop. evro has them playing soft coverage. if they score its most def on the defense

When a defense that gives up 25 ppg has only allowed 13 to one of the best offenses in the NFL its 100% on the offense

I get that we needed to play clock and limit GB’s possessions, but the fact our “franchise QB” has 83 yards and a pick in the 4th qtr and the defense is now aggressively shooting the gaps on Rico with impunity speaks for itself.  And it pisses me off.

i appreciate Bryce trying, and at this point he is a much better QB than Andy, but my God, who isn’t?  This poo is so handicapping.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
