Chuba love

Honestly happy to let Rico get the carries this year and maybe Chuba is a decent role player the next few years. Always need fresh legs in the RB room.

Chuba doesn’t seem to have any of the springiness he had in the past. I was always impressed with his patience but it  feels like he has Miles Sanders disease right now. I think the calf is still bothering him.

I don't think it would've really messed the team up. I mean, obvious truth is obvious. Chuba has a massive contract for a backup RB and his agent is probably telling him to shut up and be a good team player and cash those checks. Being a jackass is going to do nothing to help his situation. With his rate of usage Rico is probably gonna miss some games. Chuba will likely get another chance this year to be the feature RB.

Pie for a classy post. Well done classy you. I also almost agree. He may have more use value than exchange value, even with his higher contract. Maybe its worth a trade… but I suspect we will be glad he’s on the team by seasons end.

Yeah his initial burst isn't there. Not sure what's going on.

Thank you Chuba for being a great team player. He could have said I am the starter and really messed this team up. Chuba is a great teammate and understanding what is best for the team.

Chuba will have his time, we will have a point that we need Chuba

Dudes getting paid to sit on the bench most of the game now. I think he's perfectly happy with that

No reason to trade Chuba. They’ll have a very tough decision to make in the offseason though. They should try to get Chuba more carries against the Saints next week.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
