This loss won’t go up with 2 playoff games and one loss than directly kept them out of the playoffs, but it probably completely ruined the rest of the season. The schedule is too difficult for them to bounce back from this and exposed how bad the team truly is. Their mentality is paper thin, they have no resolve to win if things don’t immediately work on offense, they can’t adjust, nothing works except Rico Dowdle and now he’s showing some fatigue and when the defense focuses on stopping him they have no answers. Season over.

Not our brand of football,” Dowdle said.

“It sucks,” Young said.

“I’ve got to do a better job,” Canales said.

How many damn times this season is DC going to say "I need to do a better job" before he realizes he actually fugin needs to do a better job and make some type of adjustments to our play calling...

I'm going out on a limb here and say never on realization...

DC is way out of his league being a head coach. He’s shown no adaptability and therefore has no business calling plays. His ‘leadership’ style, I’m not quite sure what it is. I want to hire the Bobs so they can ask him “what would you say, ya do here?” He needs an alpha QB to mask his own innate deficiencies so he appears better than he truly is. He does not have that and everyone clearly sees that the emperor has no clothes.

Bryce is siren that has led an already unmoored franchise in to the rocks. There’s a 3 stooges metaphor in there somewhere, but I’ll leave that for someone else. I’m tired. All I keep hearing in my brain is Steve Miller Band take the money and run.

So yes, the trio of Evero, Bryce and Canales can all please just go. I’m tired of seeing wounded ducks flying and players who on most weeks look woefully unprepared and completely lost.

I still hold firm in my feeling that talent does exist on this ‘team,’ but it is only by an individual effort that they have found any measure of success. VERY rarely does it feel cohesive in any way. It’s clunky and unpolished…. But it’s just how lost they look most of the time. What do they even do at practice?

I think i am getting to a place of apathy with this pro franchise

They need to move on from Young quickly and perhaps Canales and morgan

anyone who thinks they shouldn’t need only to watch the top 15 teams in league

the Panthers are light years away

…not being able to sustain a vertical offense, run a qb sneak for a yard.

Give me a break  after investing millions in the oline, drafting WRs, giving up multiple assets for multiple years for the worst  qb ive ever seen at the NFl level, warrants it

it is sadly what it is

Yeah, DM and DC need to be out on Young, or I'm out on them.

He's never going to be an NFL level QB. Stop forcing it, rip off the band aid, and find us a serviceable QB. I heard Kurt Warner was bagging groceries when they found him. Maybe start at your local Publix. Anything is better than what we have now.

Yes and I’m certain they start with half the playbook to accommodate Young

…then as they know more of what he can and can’t do based on the speed the pro game requires in processing and arm velocity, they cut more

this is not sustainable

It was a divisional game so you know to throw records out. Everyone did their part except Bryce. Turnovers happen and sometimes the run game will get stuffed. Unfortunately our QB cannot overcome these things because he just can’t play his position consistently at an NFL level.

Saints only scored 17 fuging points and we still lost. D held them to a single TD in the second half and Bryce couldn’t muster this offense to a single point.

A starting QB finishing with 130 total yards in a NFL game in 2025 is diabolical.

Canales and Young lost a lot support today. Canales cannot afford to have another game like today. Young is lucky he doesn't have someone better behind him or would have already been benched.

Mike Kaye posted some Bryce hate today too. I think the media has had enough of the sugar coating with Bryce and Canales. Bryce is another game or two away from losing his job, and Canales may start getting some Scott Fowler/Joe Person heaters like Rhule and Rivera got if he doesn’t pull him.

It can't come soon enough for me. Im forced to attend the last home game because I cannot sell my tickets after yesterday. Now that im stuck with them I want someone else starting so I can sit through that crap fest. Im going to boo from the kickoff on. Im going to try to get there early enough to heckled Tepper and Dan if I can get close enough. I'm going to make it worth driving down from Asheville to watch one last time. I'm not watching another game as long as they keep the status quo at qb.

We have been here before haven’t we.   Even jimmy clausen could do a qb sneak

I remember driving to Charlotte from Raleigh when clausen was playing and leaving to drive back to Raleigh at halftime as they couldn’t get a first down. A wasted season

From a qb perspective,  panthers are here again

it is time to cut bait.  Wait until the rams, Bucs, Seahawks, and 49ers get ahold of them

…each of those teams, better coaches, and infinitely better QBs

    • Same. I would prefer a MNF game earlier in the season. As if more likely has some significance in case things go south this season. If we perform well enough we could even get another game forced to a Sunday night spot later in the season.
    • Wanted to jump into this thread. Although I do not post anymore I do look in as there are a few old friends around. Loved hearing some of the names you mentioned.  Another  oldie is NanceUSMC.  He is the one who got me here from the old Observer forum.  Good guy and smart football guy. I have learned a lot from a lot of good Huddlers over the years, Over time. we have sadly lost a few who left this earth too soon.  Anyone who know of someone, it would be nice to try to make a list.  One of the more recent, CosmoGirl,  was someone that kind of hit hard.  Life sucks sometimes. Some of the best times were when we had our own tailgate and could meet up in person.  I think it made us better. Several dedicated volunteers, lead by LiverMush, started setting things up in the wee hours of each gameday morning.  Don't know all those regulars but I remember JakeFlake was one.  For you newbies...each game,  a Huddler (or a group) sponsored the food for each tailgate.  Eating was free but a donation was asked for.  At the end of the year those donations were used to buy bicycles for Toys for Tots.  Over the years Huddlers bought a lot of new bikes for kids for Christmas.  (I am guessing a couple of hundred each year.)  We had a good time getting together, got to make friends in person, and then got to feel like you were doing something good. It was truly a community. I got to meet Dan Morgan at one of our tailgates...he brought pizza from his restaurant.  How many of you remember that?  Glad the restaurant did not make it....lol. Not only have people changed, and come and gone.....but the entire nature and purpose has changed. Nothing lasts forever and we move on but we still like to think about good times. Same reason we take pictures. Want to ask a question I have not seen anyone else mention......who remembers    "The Couch" ?  We have argued, laughed, lived the ups and downs of football and dealt with a little real life along the way.  A thanks to  the Mods who keep this going.  I am sure they sacrifice a lot of their time out of love for the forum and the Panthers. Take care my friends and be well.  I will close with my new favorite quote which I think is greatly needed in these difficult times.
    • My top-5 JAGS: 1. Tommy Tremble: May not ever be top-tier, but has been solid and you never doubt the effort. 2. Cade Mays: Not bad for a 6th rounder. Hated to see him go. 3. Brady Christensen: One of the most versatile backup OLs in the NFL. Hopefully we re-sign him. 4. Trevis Gipson: Quietly was really solid depth last season. Glad we brought him back. 5. Brycen Tremayne: Has been solid depth at WR, flashing at times last year.
