Its too easy to blame BY and we all know this....(even if its 100% true)

I don't feel the iants have the blueprint on BY. Panthers just were not ready- CB biltzs are super risky and thought of as to only use like once a game. I know you watched lots of football this year, any other team you recall having their CB/safety blitz nearly every other play?? Its sort of all-in play used for those "surprise" 3rd down calls. Panthers will have solutions this time or repeat the history......I honestly think DC just never practiced plays against that edge pressure, give the saints coaches all the credit. That took BIG BALLS and it worked great given BY folded under that pressure. It even stopped the running game, unblocked missle safety or willing CB tackler, Rico was neutralized too. This time Chubba is healthy and OL should be better too. Tremble and Evans have bigger responsibilities this week too....

I forgot to add, that dang stadium can not get rockin.....I hope they have hand signals on point too.

I mean, if you look at Bryce’s history vs the Saints it’s some of his worst stuff.  But it’s been across multiple staffs so who knows.

but yeah, you are right to point out the blitz packages the Saints ran were unique.  IMO they really served 2 functions….

1.  They were baiting Bryce.  His early pick that was wiped for a late roughing the passer.  They sent a blitz and if I recall right he essentially threw to that WR and coverage came from elsewhere.  The other pick was the fake blitz where the fake blitzer when out and got the INT likely because Bryce can’t see over the G,T…..

2.  Only a lot of plays it also seemed like the actual blitzer was playing he predictably rolls out of the pocket to buy time when he doesn’t throw in rythem.  He always spins to the same side and generally that’s where the blitz was coming.

it was a solid plan that worked.  Not sure it’s repeatable.  I mean, if Canales can’t beat it and they roll that out twice that’s bad on him

but you are 100% right on Renfrow in theory makes a lot of sense but Bryce has negative chemistry with him and can’t put but the ball on him when wide open

The last time we played them wasn't Canales was doing the cutesy 1 series per RB thing instead of rotating and going with the hot hand?

No, they bottled up our run game and Bryce couldn't execute down field

Edit: Rico had 18 carries for 50 yards.

    • Oh definitely their passing numbers would be much better with Dak.  Stafford, Maye, Dak are my top 3 Qbs for the season. Hurts had a bad game turnover wise but he hasn't thrown many picks this season.  They haven't had the dominant run game like their previous Super Bowl seasons, and Hurts needs that to succeed he's not a drop back and throw it 35-40 times type Qb.
    • I'm saying imagine the passing numbers that the Eagles' offense would be putting up with Dak at QB, not directly trying to compare the skill position talent between the two teams. The Eagles are 21st in the league in passing yardage and 30th in passing TDs with damn good skill position talent. The Cowboys are 1st in both. I don't think there's a huge gap in skill position talent between the two rosters but there's a huge gap in passing production and it's due to the QB position. There's a reason those Eagles WRs are starting to bark. They know the QB position is holding them back. It's gonna be a struggle holding that offensive locker room together with the receivers already frustrated and them on a three game skid with Hurts just having a disaster of a game with 5 turnovers including the back breaker.
