NFL admits the TMac catch should not have been overturned

We all know its rigged by sports betting. 12 consecutive games favored and lost. Seems like vegas is making money off the Panthers alone.

Seems like it is just about every week that the NFL is admitting that some call was wrongfully called against us... And guess what, the NFL does nothing about it and gives us the same ref crew multiple other games in the season...

The Refs Union is actually the most powerful in the NFL sphere. Until there is a little more accountability from that side of the aisle, this type of thing will get worse.

Very unsurprising news unfortunately. This is why I largely go out of my way not to watch any non Panthers games. This league despises the Panthers.

Anyways. This team and specifically this offense is going nowhere until we get a QB who A) doesn't throw an unacceptable number of poorly placed balls and B) doesn't need everything from top to bottom to go perfectly in order to succeed at looking like a marginal top 20 QB.

It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call. 

The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.”

T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it  

It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”

The ambiguity isnt a bug, it's a feature. It allows them to always be right and get the outcomes they want.

if was close i thought it was one of those could go either way with that said the panthers got the first down on the next play so made no difference at all in the game score.

There shouldn’t have been a review. It wasn’t under 2 minutes and the Saints didn’t challenge.

Dude, this game changed things for me. Really considering stepping away from the NFL for the rest of the year or even longer
