It reminds me of the old DCs that would live and die by the Tampa 2. Evero has the same issue but his love child seems to be quarters.

Evero is becoming Eric Washington levels of bad. It's been over 7 years, and I still can't figure out what Eric Washington was trying to accomplish on this play.

I would rather play super aggressive defense with chance of a turnover if it means the opposing team scores faster, than what happen vs NO where two drives took up 20 minutes.

evero went into prevent zone defense in the 4th quarter up 17-10 and got picked apart by a rookie QB

I know Dave didn't call a great game or have a good plan with the bye and lots of chips in the pile, but Evero made me beyond pissed when he did this. In fact this was the moment I was- "They are going to lose", going in and until then I still thought Panthers were going to win....

i swear after the SB Ls and a few other games, this loss was a top ten soul crusher for me.....

In his defense, he did try to blitz on the touchdown pass and Shough still had all day to throw.

Evero has his problems, but it's really hard to scheme an effective defense when the pass rush is usually nonexistent (outside of DB beating a double team and getting pressure). Factor in linebackers that can't cover anything and it makes it hard to call any play that isn't zone.

I think my biggest problem with his calls on defense is way too many times we are running drop zone and just giving teams a free 5-8 yards (assuming we don't miss the tackle).

Whether we keep Evero or move on, this defense is severely lacking talent at many positions
