Panthers WR Xavier Legette named potential trade candidate for 2026 offseason

And there's no reason why GM Dan Morgan would keep that spot open if the Panthers can find an upgrade this offseason. Legette is owed $4.4 million over the next two years, all of which is guaranteed, and he has a potential fifth-year option in 2028 that would come up for a decision after the 2026 season.

Carolina was willing to give up on Mingo, a top-40 pick, after only 24 games when the right trade offer emerged. I suspect it would be similar for Legette this offseason.

Not being funny, but I’ve always seen him in a Raiders or Browns jersey. And to be fair they would probably give us a 3rd/4th for him. Probably a 3rd since he’s still on rookie contract

It's crazy how much I've heard about his size and speed. I've never seen him play like he has size and I've never seen him show breakaway speed. He looks as average as it gets for an NFL WR when it comes time to run a route and carry the ball.
