What Broncos Fans Are Saying

Each week I bring to you what fans of the opposition are saying about the game. This week, Denver Bronco fans discuss the Carolina Panthers. 

 

On why the Broncos will win...

1. We're underdogs-Panthers have everything to lose and we don't. We lose to the Panthers we lose to arguably the best team 15-1 All the pressure is on them. I'm already hearing people say it will be another loss like the seahawk superbowl. 
2. Team that blows out in opponent in conference championship generally has history of losing the superbowl. 1990 bills blow out Raiders 51-3 lose to giants superbowl 
3. 2012 we had the best offense in history playing the best defense in the seahawks. We all know what happened. Fast forward to today, We have the best defense this year and the Panthers have a top scoring offense. 
4. Everyone knows this is Probably Peyton's last game....ray Lewis, jerome Bettis affect? I also believe peyton has a great game because he's due and he'll be in warm weather. Thomas and Sanders will have a good game as well. Plus No one Is talking about the offense so I think their due. 
5. Seemed like everything fell into place. Peyton comes in the san Diego game at the end looks good and has started ever since. Patriots somehow lose to the Dolphins and we end up with home field throughout. Maybe the NFL is looking for a storybook ending. Cam will have more chances at a Superbowl. 
6. I think Vernon Davis steps up his game since he's back in SF again as well as Demarcus Ware for this might be their best shot at a ring. 

Just my thoughts. We win 28-17.

Six reasons here, not one of them has to do with football. The past, emotion, destiny, etc. If you do your best to come up with six reasons to win and none of them have to do with the skill of the players or the efficiency of scoring points... it won't be a good time for you. 

On Josh Norman

Quote

Norman is overrated and honestly very average.

Josh Norman has shut down receivers twice as good as anyone on the Denver roster all season long. I am not sure he is someone you want to throw shade at. He tends to get a bit worked up. 

On the Panthers run game...

We can cover their recievers, not worried about their run game either. Cam is another animal though. Olsen is a top 3 tight end

Denver has not played a running QB all season, unless you count Andrew Luck. In addition, the Panthers have better rushing games against 3-4 defenses as they have a power run game. Fewer really large men on defense is to the benefit of the Panthers. 

Denver should be very, very worried about the run game. If the Panthers can run the ball, the game is all but over.

Panthers are too confident and aren't battle tested. The Broncos have beat better teams too. I want the Panthers believing it's going to be easy. Same way the Cheatriots did.

Not battle tested? This is the third straight year the Panthers are in the playoffs. Also, they had to defeat two teams that are better than the Broncos to get to this point in the postseason.

We'll treat Cam like we did Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, you do that. Rodgers is a pretty athletic guy and runs well to buy time, but Cam will gash you for 30 yards up the middle if you just try to contain the edges. 

 

Here is the bottom line, and all you really need to know. The Denver defense is built to defeat the New England Patriots, and it worked. They have a lot of speed to keep up with the Tom Brady passing attack. The problem is, they are not at all built to play against a big, physical team. The Panthers offense isn't the highest scoring offense in the league due to finesse. They put a helmet on a helmet and physically punish you methodically. Basically the opposite of New England's arena ball offense. 

 

This won't be a close game, folks.

Like how you point to Denver's D being built to defeat NE, that's a great point.  Only way this is a close game is if we make a ton of mistakes.  Peyton can't throw ball more than 8 yards and when he does it's like the ball is flying in slow motion.  I feel like our D is going to have a field day and our running game is going to put the game out of reach early.  Go Panthers, KEEP POUNDING!

The whole "it's a reverse of the 2014 Superbowl" is ridiculous, yeah its top offense v top defense again but we're the same style team as the one that stomped the life out of the Broncos then

X's and O's kinda show a blowout. They have their storylines and so do we. But from a football perspective, everything seems to stack up against Denver.

Now obviously they have to play the game but I don't see our players being anything other than laser focused come game day. I also expect them to be very loose tonight at media day. Letting their personality shine.

All signs point to a very enjoyable game for us Panthers fans.

Panthers 34-17. We do turn the ball over once or twice but it will be inconsequential.

They left out "the Panthers haven't beaten anybody".  No way Ol' Man Noodle-arm carves this team up. And a one dimensional team has no chance against the Panthers.

Biggest battle in my mind is Panthers defensive line against Denver's offensive line. That will be the key because that is Denver's weak link.  Manning won't have time to do anything with our defense in his face.

definitely not getting cocky and predicting a blowout. i resoect my opponent and the match up. god forbid if something goes wrong and we dont win, previously expecting the win will lead to intense feelings if sorrow and depression

IMO... There are a lot of Panthers Players that will prolly not be on the team next year... or a Team at all... So.. I have a Feeling they are going to go all out to the point of pushing themselves harder than ever to get that ring...even the players on IR are going to teach as much as they can and coach them.   Allen, Tillman (IR), Harper, Cotchery, just to name a few are prolly gone next year. Also.. look at the other players... Davis, Kalil, Olsen, Anderson, CJ, Oher... they prolly only got 2-3 years left... Might as well give it all you got to get that ring.

When they played Seattle in the Super Bowl, yes it was the # 1 offense against the #1 defense but on the other side Seattle was the 9th best offense and Denver was the #22 defense. We have the #6 defense against their #19 offense.

That pass rush won't help when we're running the ball down their throat, can anyone name their ILB's? I know I can't and I'm an NFL junkie. They'll have to pull the safeties down into the box for run support and you know what happens next...

Peyton is smart enough to pick us apart if we don't get pressure. He will also readily take sacks if we are closing in on him. Get pressure. win game. I really think Big Money shows up for one last hoorah. Also, I predict that they have to scrape one of their rbs off of the turf after they are obliterated by a jacked up #58.

The Seahawks were the #1 scoring D this year, NOT the Broncos. We only put up 31 in the first half though...
