The next play was the entire game, if that was called a catch we have a real chance to win that game.

If it were called a catch they would have allowed Denver to do what they did the year after.

I’ve never heard a good explanation for that call. It absolutely changed the course of that game. That strip sack TD would have never happened.

Simple.  They wanted to humble us and Cam on the biggest national stage AND send their sheriff riding off into the sunset with another ring.  I almost gave up on football after that game...  still pisses me off to this day and I will forever hate Goodell and Clete Blakeman.  That game was decided before it was ever played.

That's nice and all. I just wish Cotchery hadn't let it get into the hands of the biased replay ref.

Rarely is it mentioned that Cotchery had it in his hands and bobbled it, which is the only reason it got that far. I agree that the call was BS but if it's caught the first time it doesn't happen... Cotch did not have his best game that day.

I honestly believe the NFL thought we were going to blow the Broncos out and were terrified at the prospect of Peyton getting destroyed in two straight superbowls. So they told the refs to call it favorably to the Broncos on close calls

Evidence for all to see, that the NFL controls the outcome. WE knew that after the 49ers coronation at BofA. Somehow I don't believe the new owner would take that sht from the league without saying a word publically. Screwed by the NFL too many times to be putting their damn dirty shield before our own destiny.
