I think it is just the angle we’re seeing. I looked at it again, and the ball comes right by his head before the release.

Finally found a replacement for 89. Probably not as good on the outside as Smitty was but the dude will catch anything in his zip code and will run people over in the process. Would be nice to see him get a little mean streak... seems pretty passive.

Cam's body was a little more open than what we've been seeing, yes, but the good news is he was still stepping in to it and torquing his hips to generate power as opposed to just back footing it.  On that play he had some push in the pocket and "bad Cam" may well have tried to back foot it instead of stepping in and cutting it loose.

That catch tho . . . "Oh, ball?  I got it."  So casual.  That's a Greg Olsen type catch right there.

Yea, he definitely opened up a bit more than he's supposed to but all in all I'm looking forward to seeing how much he maintains as the season goes. Could be awfully exciting if he sticks with it :3

Where is the Calvin Ridley hype train? Is that a cliff I see it falling off of?

Its suffering from a sore hammy....or maybe that's just him. Anyways....we got the best from that class.

I seriously doubt Cam has changed his throwing motion after using the some throwing motion his entire career.  I figured he was using a different throwing motion early in training camp to make up for pain or tenderness.

    • I've actually been very complimentary of him.  I have said that I think he will get the bulk of receptions and yards. I have said I think he will be a 1k yard reciever thia year. He has issues tho and I guess no one is allowed to point them out.
    • We don't have to lie, 4.8 was official and there were scouts who had him in the 4.54 to 4.57 range
    • Think the "official time" put out was 4.48, but there were a lot of scouts there who of course all had difference times as it's all handed timed by them.  Think I saw it as low as 4.43 and as high as 4.62 or something, but in the end it's all basically the same speed because 40 yard dash is so pointless. Anyone who complains about his speed is just someone who wants a Chase/Jefferson/Nabers style #1 as opposed to an Evans style #1 who isn't going to beat you because of his speed but his other abilities. In the end, he's fast enough for a player his size and surprisingly quicker and more agile than people give him credit for too. The real problem is that Panthers fans can't get our past big WR failures out of their head, they hear "big WR" and automatically see a plodding KB or Jarrett in their minds and assume that's also T-Mac.
