Anybody keeping a running count of how many former Panther players/staff/ management have made their way to Buffalo?

Really excited to see the joint sessions, will probably be at least 2-3 dust-ups

Unfortunately for Captain, the QBs will be wearing red jerseys and pretty much his only value on the football field these days is as a blitzer. He really is a solid blitzer from that nickel spot. But ask him to cover? Oh wee mayne. Might as well just play the buffalo nickel package and have an even better blitzer there and not really lose anything in the coverage department.

Watching him and Corn Elder get abused by Russell Wilson last year was perhaps the worst secondary play I've ever seen in person.  And unfortunately we have had a lot to pick from the last few years...

Munnerlyn had some quality years from 2009-2012.  He was always a much better slot corner than outside corner (which he never should have been forced to do but was b/c of the overall lack of talent and depth).  To his credit, he did his best.

He was an underrated punt returner, which in turn helped him on interception returns, where he absolutely excelled.  Of his 12 career INT's, he returned 5 of them to the house for Pick 6's.  That truly is impressive, and is what I will remember most.

Munnerlyn had a career year in 2013 (which priced him out for what Gettleman wanted to spend), was solid for the Vikings from 2014-2106, was serviceable back here in 2017, and showed obvious signs of decline last year.

Munnerlyn has had an incredible career for a 7th round pick.  He is in my book one of the 25 most underrated players in Panthers history.  He unfortunately spend his best years on some bad Panthers teams (prior to 2013), but he always gave 100%.

I will always remember how tenacious he was, but Hurney 2.0 knows his playing days are behind him (as does anyone with functioning eyeballs).

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
