I pointed this out a week or so ago when I posted a short video showing the Baylor defense. They were fast and physical and got after you. I 100% agree with his philosophy. This is a solid hire, even if people are throwing a hissy that it's not a known commodity, NFL experienced guy.

I wouldn’t be shocked but I would be sorely disappointed. I’d much rather he stayed here, but Rivera’s strength is his interpersonal skills with his players. I expect Luke will do whatever makes him happy, I’d just rather that were here. Crossing my fingers on this.

I think the upside is that they will not be viewing things with stale eyes. Their perspective will not be bound by "common knowledge" which can be both a good and bad thing.

Doesn't seem like the kinda guy to up and move from Charlotte to DC to me, unless he really wants to coach, and the Panthers don't let him in the door.

He's our guy now, so let's get behind him and hope he excels here as he did there. If he's a good coach, he's being given good material to work with, the results should be good.

While I'm certainly not over the moon (I rarely am to be honest), I'm OK with this move.

He and Rhule will certainly be on the same page together.  Just hope like hell we get an experienced previous HC in the coaching ranks as some point.
