One won the Super Bowl...with their backup QB.  The other lost the Super Bowl because their QB stunk the joint up and put up 3 points.

So you think without those moves either of those teams still would’ve gotten where they did?

If we were to go all in on Burrow, we better acquire some draft capital. I read an article mentioning the Colts trading their 1st and next years 3rd for Cam. We would need something like that and then trade those picks plus our first for that top pick. That way we keep our other picks to help fill our many needs. I don’t want to send all of our draft capital for one player...

I love the idea of Cam to the Colts IF we’re moving on from him. AFC team, solid org. with solid coaching, and they have a ton of young talented players and can afford to pay a fair amount of draft capital. Not sure about a 1st and a 3rd but a 1st I bet they’d give up for Cam.

One of the picks they traded away was to get Derrick Henry.  Dak Prescott was still on the board.

Considering they traded two 1sts, two 2nds, two 3rd.  Now throw in how much we like to play hindsight draft GM here.  The rams got screwed and coulda been a ton better.

You are now talking about opportunity cost.  That is probably about three steps beyond most people, here or anywhere else.

Who really has the confidence that Hurney is going to make a trade that is most beneficial to the Panthers? When has that ever happened, aside from Greg Olsen? Any trade in which we mortgage our future will screw this team for the next decade with Hurney at the helm. If we trade back then great but that's something Mr. Hurney has never done. Ever. He gets a wild hair up his ass over some small school prospect and trades future picks for them to watch them fail for 4 seasons. How many times have we seen that play out? Any trade that has Hurney calling the shots will screw this team. Guaranteed. Period.

Yeah, I agree. You have to get picks back for Cam. I know some will mention trading CMC in that scenario too but I would STRONGLY disagree with that. CMC would be a HUGE crutch for a young QB to lean on.

That’s the article. Yeah, he would need to look good throwing in March and probably another team interested to drive his price up.

Yep, the guy is a huge distraction for a defense and a nice safety outlet for a QB.

So when has that happened since Hurney came back as GM.  Anything you are referenced happened a decade or longer. Let's talk the recent past which is where we are right now.  While the Benjamin trade netted a 3rd and 7th and we used the third on Gaulden, Buffalo let Benjamin go  for nothing. We fleeced them. Too soon to judge Little but there is no recent evidence we will do something as boneheaded ad you suggest.

It's his track record. That's the kind of GM he is thats always been his strategy and hes done it multiple times. You want a recent example (Little) and then contradict yourself by saying it's too soon to judge that pick so..????
