McCoy had some disagreement with Panthers coaches

McCoy missed three games that season in Tampa, so last year represented a new low and he said on SiriusXM NFL Radio that he “actually had a dispute with the coaches last year in Carolina because they were taking me out of the game.” He went on to say that he feels he’s still a three-down player and that he’ll go back to being one in Dallas this year.

“I had never rotated as much as I did last year in Carolina,” McCoy said. “Ever. Ever. That’s not what I was used to. That’s honestly not even what I like to do. I’ll play all game if I have to. . . . I’m an every down guy, that hasn’t changed and I don’t plan on it changing this year.”

McCoy had some flash plays and was all around solid. He wasn’t even terrible in the run game, not great but not like he was a huge liability there. Wouldn’t have made any sense whatsoever to keep him though. I enjoyed seeing him in a Panthers jersey briefly.

I mean for the money we paid him we got our worth. And he didn’t exactly have a supporting cast. Butler just got paid roughly what McCoy was paid and I’d take McCoy all day long over Butler.

I wouldn’t have kept him in for all snaps though, dude’s in denial.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
