Cam is a NE Patriot

If there is a one team that does things different, its the the Pats. Many former players all talk about how the Pats system is the toughest to grasp. Chad Johnson was a elite WR traded to the Pats, they cut him during training camp. Same thing happened to Reggie Wayne.

Side story- Hoyer was in the draft process, it started to look like hed go undrafted. His agent told him -" If you go undrafted, we will sign with the NE". Hoyer couldnt understand why, they didnt have room, and brady was still in his prime. Once he got there and went thought their traning camp he understood. He gives lots of credit to the Pats training him the correct way, hes gone back a few times and hes there now.

Cam has a tough fight on his hands for the starting job, Stidman has a year head start too. Who knows how TC will go with covid. Like I said before it wouldnt shock me if Cam was struggling then got a minor injury, Bill could just focus on the others that already know what Cam is learning. Cams contract gives NOTHING for protection, so no cap issues. Chuds system was very simple to how the Pats do offensive.

We all know you're hoping and praying this all happens while now hedging your bets about being all in on Rhule by claiming he has the hardest job in the history of coaching football, but good god... just stop.

The same people who wished Olsen, TD, Ryan Kalil, and many more panthers well when they went to other teams,  are in here hoping Cam fails at the Patriots.  Why can't you just say "good for Cam, hope he does well" and leave it alone?  The dude was easily the best QB this team has ever had, he deserves more respect than this from the fans.

It isn't about Cam it is New England. People don't want to see Belicheck succeed so if Cam plays for them then he becomes the enemy. I love him as a player but not as long as he plays for the dark side.

Chad Johnson played an entire season as a reserve but was old and unproductive - he couldn't make Miami's team the following year. Wayne was also old and well into his decline. No denying NE is complex and that Cam may not be the same as he was but your examples are poor and/or incorrect.

I didnt remember Johnson playing even as a reserve, thats was incorrect. Those examples where to show great offensive players on one team for their long career, had big issues adapting to the Pats way. Its a HUGE adjustment, I mean during Olsens time here he always helped Cam with play calls in the huddle. Thats another issue for Cam adpating, maybe Julian Edelman could fill that role.

Nope just talking, I know its hard to keep up with everyones Cam feelings. I gave plenty of support for Cam many times here. Said Id take him over Teddy and if Jerry had any sense pull Daks tag to sign Cam. Hes going into unknown environment that nearly all have trouble adapting, especially for a QB. Pointing that out doesnt mean I want him to fail.

Besides Cam, I never liked the Rhule hire or ALL his Baylor bros. He made the job harder by dumping Cam too. See Im not 100% on Cam or Rhule, I can talk about the good, bad, and reality.

There is noooooo way they didn't offer anything

Well, the team could have made public any offer they made to make themselves look better in the PR battle.

Now ask yourself... why didn't they?

Nothing remains secret in negotiations.  NOTHING.  Which means what you and I know now is likely the truth.

In other words, the Panthers didn't offer poo.

I have never wished any former Panther well that went to the goddamn Pats.

Everyone hates the Patriots, now Cam goes there and  people are cheering for them. Can’t make this up.

Cam we never top tier good as a QB if he did not have his run game to complement him. We shall see how he does In the AFC.

And tamper his free agency even further? You're picturing one vindictive front office my man. And it was certainly a lowball so the numbers won't make them look any better if it turns out he's still elite.

    • It is all confusing and layered. SB is the cash you get very soon within weeks or in simple terms, its what you get to sign the paper work. Players and agents can agree on contract but what to "wait" to sign......teams don't like that cause you can "Carlos Boozer" yourself. In order to get that ink dry, while keeping the contract the same, portion it as a bonus to "sign" and get the funds with ________ .   * But Ive seen worded contracts that split the SB or a 20% to a later date. The beans counters can fill in the details about why certain dates are better and save the team money.. Theres tricks to the trade and accounting is full of them.    Ugh another big layer, is SB can be used to manipulate cap and players. Ill try to give a example that makes enough sense. Believe it or not having a owner like Tepper is a cheat code for this. He has cash in hand, where as Mark Davis had problem making pay roll and had to move the team to Vegas....... Tepper can give you 100,000,000 SB right now and the team can spread out the cap hit. Another owner doesn't have or want to give the player 100,000,000 in cash, but offered the same guaranteed contract in roster bonuses fully guaranteed over the next few years........ Which one do you want??? Everyone wants the money now, not before another inflation waves hits in 2 years. So it does 'pay" to have a owner like tepper that's able to have real cash on hand, while it also works GREAT for cap help. Heres a good video, if you can stand coked up pat and mask look-a-like AJ
    • I don't know. CMC is like others and may have lip serviced that line of " I had no plan or wanted to leave Carolina" I think he even said he bought a house too and wanted this to be home.   Here's what I heard- In a way Panthers org gave him a test and he didn't "fight" back. They approached CMC and told him they wanted to put him on IR since the "season" was over or out of playoff reach. CMC didn't fight it one lick and agreed. They secretly wanted him to kept playing or want to, but there was no kickback. I honestly don't know if its real or not, 5th hand information type deal doing on. Yes he had bruises and pains, but was able to play...... but went along with Panthers staff. Odd to be playing games with star players, but whatever....   Plus the staff doctors found out about his tendinitis and there was nothing to fix it. Even with him missing time, it was the best move to trade him before he got inflamed constantly.    Lastly, its mostly time a combo of stuff, Fitterererere did not sign him to be the highest paid RB. That was classic Marty "give me a" herniay doing. GMs have different values on roster spots and rumor was Fitterererer was one that didn't want to pay RBs. For all his faults, he's right about that......
