CMC WILL miss multiple weeks

Even if we won game 1, I'd still take major caution and want him to sit.  This is not the season to aggravate something more.  Let him heal as much as possible.  Stat lines be damned.

It feels crazy weird having Teddy Bridgewater, Mike Davis, & Robby Anderson as our offense after what we had for so long.  This is just the prelude to something new.

Yep. We are about to see him under a serious microscope.

Without CMC, teams are gonna know the Panthers are going to have to pass more to generate offense. So I'd be surprised if Teddy finishes the season with the amount of pass rush he's about to face every game. Mike Davis might surprise people but he's no CMC.

Panthers should shut CMC down for the season and just go 0-16 at this point. Zero point in trying to win games with a bad bad roster.

We'll see what happens. I know they are salivating in LA right now to get some shots at our OL and QB without worrying about CMC.

Honestly, this is a good thing.  Not because I want to see us lose, or see CMC hurt, but because I want to see what OTHER backs can do in this system.  Hopefully, we see decent production out of our other backs and thus when CMC does return the staff feels more comfortable lowering CMC's touches to some amount that means he will still be around and productive to the end of his contract.

The Panthers need to use a 3rd/4th round pick on a big RB who can run hard in-between the tackles and shown some pass catching ability and hopefully along with a QB immediately look to reduce CMC’s workload. Primarily because his abilities as a receiver are of substantial value to us and make his contract worth the investment. We can’t just run him into the ground as a RB, but we potentially can run him to death as a receiver on less carries.
