Panthers have an easy out with Teddy in 2022. He will only cost 5 million against the cap to release.

Is the plan to draft a QB and use Teddy's second year to let the rookie sit and learn? Teppers is a long term guy and that is definitely a long term plan.

Possibly depends on the QB drafted. Sit him until mid season or the entire year either way we’re are looking good.

yeah i think ideally you hav ea young kid sit for a year next year, fix up the o line some more, then kick teddy out the door in 2022, either having benched him midseason or what.

i just don't think it's going to be easy to get that young qb

    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
