I’ve had a couple of thoughts on this. Andy Reid is considered to be a QB whisperer and I think he gets credit sometimes when it may not be deserved. Likewise, Mahomes is a freak of nature talented QB and I think he gets some of the credit when it should fall to EB. Add to that the talent of Hill and Kelce and I think he might be getting considered the product of the players. That said without a doubt I think he should be getting calls to be an NFL HC. EB was on my short list last year.

With regard to Brady I think he’s riding the LSU hype. I knew it wasn’t going to be long because he was a hot commodity last year when Rhule added him. He’s young, energetic, and could be the next Sean Mcvay.

The list of former Reid assistants that go on to have success is strong. It is maybe the best current coaching tree there is. Four of his former assistants are head coaches of 2020 playoff teams. McDermott, Harbaugh, Rivera, and Nagy.

Bienemey is, by the metrics, a much more sure bet to at least be a decent head coach more than many of the other candidates getting interviews.

Oh I dont disagree. I just think some people may just be short sighted and think he's a product of Mahomes, Hill and Kelce rather than how good he really is. If something happens to Rhule and EB is available I hope he's our first call.

Why are people mad at Brady for taking interviews for a promotion? Y’all never worked in a corporate setting? You interview for jobs you know you aren’t getting to keep your name out there. It’s part of the process.

Not mad a Brady for trying to level up at all. Dude has a chance to get the top job, go get it if you can. I just think it’s frankly ridiculous that he’s even being considered. I haven’t done any digging on the subject but I would wager he’d be one of if not the most inexperienced head coach in NFL history.

And yet someone like Eric Bienemey looks like he will go another offseason without getting a shot. It is really strange what teams do. The fact Joe Brady is even getting these interviews is ridiculous. He’s been a coordinator at ANY level for one season, and frankly the results weren’t even that great. I was HOPING the Falcons would hire him because I was extremely confident given his lack of experience and time in the NFL, it would be a colossal failure.

We will see if some team is naive enough to think a guy with that little experience can be a head coach. Maybe if he was paired up with a very experienced senior coach like Wade Phillips, it might have a chance at success, but could tear a locker room apart with guys seeing Wade as the real head coach. Time will tell.

Yeah it's kinda a bizarre when you think how little experience Rhule has at the NFL level and was considered a risky hire now Joe Brady looks to be a new head coach while Eric is passed over again. The same happened to Rivera as well after putting up some legitimate defenses. I know people don't want to hear it but your melanin still plays a factor it seems.

Yesterday during the Kyle Bailey Show on WFNZ...

...Stan Norfleet said that there's a lot of chatter on "black twitter" (not sure what that is) that if Joe Brady gets a head coaching job before Eric Bieniemy there will be hell to pay for Roger Goodell and the NFL.

And whom may this hell be paid by?

You don't tug on Super man's cape and you don't piss into the wind and something about not FUGGING with Jim.

It seems like the Panthers can never keep its coaches . I know that they all want to be a head coach, but with the money Tepper has we could keep one that does not want the added pressure of being  a head coach  . Teams like Clemson has built a program by keeping their coaches together but paying them like a head coach .  Lets find a OC that wants to stay and build something .

How much of the offense is EB vs Andy Reid. It’s like looking at Bill Belichick’s defensive coordinators. None have really made it as head coaches because it’s really his system.

The question us whether he would be a good head coach. That's not necessarily the same as who is the best coordinator. They do different things.

McVay has been considered a good coach. Seems to be getting past simply having the most loaded roster. He didn't have any real success as a coordinator but he was noted for his leadership and HC characteristics. So I believe they can be different skillsets.
