Went over to an Eagles board just to see what they think and most of them are convinced that Hurts will be the guy. Hope they are right.

It's a double-edged sword though.

If Hurts is not the guy, they draft a quarterback.

If Hurts is the guy, they potentially trade the pick to someone else who drafts a quarterback.

Or they do neither and take the BPA at OL / WR, let's include all three options ''triple-edge sword''. Their OL is old and they may be able to take Sewell / Slater at that spot.

They're WR room is old as well Jackson / Jeffrey (Goodwin opt out) -- Jalen Reagor about the only bright spot at that position for them (maybe Fulgham as well) -- Waddle / Chase / Smith all have a chance to be there as well.

So while I'm not saying they won't take a QB / or trade back, they don't have to do those things either.

It's possible.

Barring a trade, pretty sure we're going to be nervous about this right up to draft day.

lol at the people who honestly thought Wentz was going to net the Eagles 2 1st rounders.

Most thought a few months ago there was no way the Eagles would be able to move Wentz.

So the Eagles can move forward with their guy (Hurts) and Reich can try to fix Wentz. I’m shocked the Eagles got as high of picks as they did.

You'll lose that bet.

All depends on Frank Reich, I suppose.

A couple of years ago Wentz looked like he was trending toward future MVP status. Not sure if it was the injuries or something else, but he fell hard.

I'm not even gonna try to predict what happens next with him.

I don't know why Panthers fans think that the Eagles would give up on Hurts so easily. The real question to me is whether the Eagles will trade their pick tp some team that wants to jump us.

    • At the moment? Absolutely not. Maybe if they drop the next three in a row and go into the deadline at 3-6 I can see an argument to be made to move Rico as he's on a 1yr deal. I'd rather keep Chuba's contract though and roll with ETN + JB next season. The team will have plenty of time to see how JB is looking going into the offseason a year-plus after his surgery to know whether or not they need to plan for another direction.
    • I forgot to mention my thoughts on the rushing grade! 😮 He ran his ass off both weeks. I can't remember the stat offhand but didn't he have something crazy like 120+ yards after contact vs. Dallas? Against Miami he had lanes as wide as the entirety of I-95 to run through which is why his rushing grade wasn't as high as this week's. He's ran like a man possessed and going to earn himself some money in the offseason.
    • I'm not sure how much I'm changing mid year, especially when we are seeing some success.    Most Pass Rushers are physically gifted. Scheme and personnel help, but you gotta have the Jimmys and Joes, especially at that position.    We will likely lose games when the other team can throw for 400 yards, and has multiple high level receivers, but I think at this point in the development of our franchise, we have to be ok with that. You can't address every single issue at once. Really looks like we have plugged some holes on offense, and definitely in run defense. In the next draft, if we hit on a CB, an ILB and a Pass rusher, we will be pretty dangerous.
