I can't see how it helps it. But with what he's getting paid I personally wouldn't mind wasting away on a roster somewhere for 3 years.

People pissed about this Hurney decision to keep Curtis instead of trade him need to go back to last offseason and remember what Curtis was THEN.  Prior to 2020, the dude had 100 catches for 1200 yards . . . in his CAREER.  He was catching at a rate of 55%.

Curtis was not good at that point, he was potential.  I suspect we were offered something in the 4th round range for him.

I wish him only the best, but I'm glad we didn't feel a need to pay him that kind of money.

Ron had no clue how to use him and that's where he chooses to go?  They must have offered way more than anyone else.  Doubt he gets a second big contract

Glad Curtis got paid. We all knew he was most certainly gone. We can't afford to pay a #3 WR like that with the holes we have on the roster.

He's going to shine there and good for him. He deserves a big payday -- last year's 1,000 yards was hard work for him. Hopefully they will be smart in how they use him.

Still, wish we'd have been able to keep him. Good guy.

A 4th is probably more than the compensation pick will be.
