I hear your frustration. But I’m a  fan of this team foe 20 years now and this don’t think you are being very measured.

Darnold may not work out. If he doesn’t, he only costs us essentially a 2nd round pick. People wanted to trade three 1sts for a unproven rookie that played one game last year against no name competition. Tell me honestly, which sounds more unreasonable?

Now i do agree with this. Which is also why i think no team is gonna be trading up multiple picks to take lance. If they do it will be fields and i think the niners take jones which is why i wanted us to sit tight for now instead of making a move on darnold.

I tried to tell y'all how Teddy would end up. If we made smart moves I'd celebrate them but I'm not gonna do mental gymanstics to try to convince myself that bad moves are smart moves.

To be fair, you also tried to tell us how bad Justin Herbert was going to be.

Darnold certainly isn't my first choice, but I don't hate it. I'm willing to wait and see how it turns out.

I always hedged my bets with Herbert though that it very well may have been the system he was in. I always said he had the physical tools. Those coaches treated him with kid gloves and now their starting QB is transferring, probably because of that same approach.

Darnold has been atrocious. Yeah, he's been in a bad situation but he was a big contributor to that bad situation.

This guy is 23 yrs old, was #3 overall 3 yrs ago...and he played for the most dysfunctional organization in pro sports

can he do what teddy couldn’t?...which is make plays at winning time?

his contract is big time favorable for us which is a big plus

this guy can just as good, or better, than picking the 4th or 5th best QB, & now we can get a big time OL at # 8

i like this move...a lot

PS: what can we get for teddy?

The one thing I will say about Darnold is he’s gonna make poo exciting compared to teddy because he will push the ball downfield, often times when he shouldn’t. So I’m actually expecting DJ to put up monster stats. But this dude turns the ball over so fuging much and throws into triple coverage when he should just throw it away. He’s a mess but he’ll make throws where you’ll say holy fug how did he do that. He just can’t put it all together.

Yeah, at least it won't be boring. If he's as bad as I expect we'll be in the mix for a Howell or Rattler next year.

We might get 2021 Mid-Rounder pick or 2022 second round pick for Teddy if We trade him away to someplace safe.

Hell, I hope you're right. I just think there's a very slim chance things play out that way.

I'm with @Mage You usually have great takes and I value your opinion.  But like Mage I don't see a better option.  If we trade up we are going to lose this years 1st, next years first and possibly 2023 first year pick just because of the desire to move up to get one of the remaining questionable QBs.  IMO it's going to be Lance or Fields.

Both have huge question marks on whether they will be suitable QBs in the NFL not to mention franchise QBs.

The 4th and the 6th rounders are very easy to swallow and we are only talking one valuable 2nd rounder.  I can only assume that the Panthers do not want to gamble that much draft capital and the Darnold trade was a better option.

I posted in another thread 4 takes from people at NFL Network and all 4 say the same thing.  Darnold had little help in NYJ and poor coaching.  He has the tools to succeed.

We should be thankful that we didn't trade for Watson before his legal issues came up.  We would have been without draft capital and our new QB.

There have been several QBs to move from their original team and succeeded including three HOFers (Steve Young, Curt Warner and Brett Favre) and future HOFer Drew Brees and also include Jake Delhomme and Ryan Tannehill.

Not trying to be condescending but we know your hatred of the deal.  What would you rather us do? and why?

Louis Riddick (@LRiddickESPN) Tweeted:
Watching Matt Rhule actually communicate, teach ...COACH...at the Senior Bowl practices up close on the field was exactly what I needed so that now I can understand what Sam Darnold is going to be exposed to in Carolina. And it is good. Real good.

    • Clean ACLs really are not. He is already running on it. There are more complicated injuries where ACLs tear with other things that can cause more serious injuries. I think that’s where the confusion comes in.
    • Try to reduce the amount of soda that you consume on a daily basis. Soda is packed with sugars and carbohydrates, which can cause cause a poor reaction with your skin. Instead of soda, try drinking water or flavored water as an alternative to your meals during the day or night. Try using some kind of mist moisturizer instead of just using plain water. Plain water only hydrates your skin for a short while and will end up drying out your skin. Moisturizing your skin with a mist form of it is a lot easier to apply then a topical cream. Finding the right product for your skin type is a very important factor in making your skin look nice and healthy. If you have dry skin, you would not want to use products that were designed for oily skin. Make sure you research what the products you use are for, and your skin will thank you for it. After you take a shower or a bath or just wash your face, pat dry with a soft towel. Vigorous rubbing will damage the skin. In addition, leaving a little bit of water on your skin will help keep it from drying out and make it easier to apply an after-shower moisturizer. • I was thinking Adoree too. I don't want to fixate on one specific guy, just go get the best cost option for this year and roll with it
