Chargers offered picks 13 and 47 for pick 8....I accepted.

I offered pick 47 to the Packers for picks 62, 92, and 214....they accepted.  214 is not in play for this thread, so I want post that result.

He was, and thats who the Chargers selected. Sewell/Slater were both available, so I took a chance with the trade down. I have Sewell/Slater really close, and was happy to add Kelvin Joseph, Cameron McGrone, and eventually Deommodore Lenoir because of the trade down.

Joseph is a very talented CB who has the potential to become #1 CB in the NFL. If not for an issue as a Freshman, he is a 1st rounder.

McGrone is very raw, but very talented. With good coaching, his potential is way above his draft position.

Lenoir is a CB that has potential to play instantly in nickle/dime packages. He will also contribute on special teams right away.

I'd be pretty upset with this draft.

    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
    • I think it's because we've had a player to hate on NO (Breese) and Atl (Ryan) while Tampa had Winston who was never really a threat or dislikable like the other 2
    • yeah. it was also reported that Brown was taking it light today because of oblique soreness. Sounds like the 2 of them were a bit too rough with each other for practice.
