Saints might be trading ahead of us

Whatever they do, it's gonna screw us.  With them taking whoever they get, and the Falcons taking Lance that win against Washington really fuged us.  No matter what we get at 8, both of them got better and did so ahead of us.

This will really be the test of how good of a coach Rhule is.

Good lord, some of you will still be ranting about Rhule putting the dagger to Rivera on your death bed.

If the talk is about moving up in front of us in particular, then it 100% has to be for Sewell if he falls, as there is nobody else they'd want to keep us from drafting as any other position, there would would be multiple options of similar level/value.

But I can't see how they could make that jump, even with the connection with the Lions HC, they'd have to give up at least 2 future firsts and likely a little more to make the jump that high.  No reason for the Lions to move THAT far down in the draft for anything less than that.

Hell, I don't even want to move back to 15 with the Patriots unless we're also getting their Second this year and First next year, too big of a drop given the players we can get at 8 and there.

And to be honest, as much as I want Sewell, I just don't think the Saints are a SB contender right now with their QB issues without Brees, so if they want to mortgage their future first rounders to take a player we want, so be it, we'll still get a great player at 8 or trade down a few spots and still get a great player while picking up extra picks.

Totally disagree...they want a QB...let them give up a bunch to get ahead of us...the only QB I really like is Lawrence....and maybe Jones

Boy I hope so. I'm mentally preparing for Pitts.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
