So stockpiling picks makes him competent? they dont even have to get on the field first? Damn...things have changed.

It’s a start. Chances of getting 2-3 good players on Day 3 are a lot better when you have 7 picks than when you 3 or 4. The math on this ain’t hard.

Yeah, but you have to understand at this point in the draft you’re generally not selecting NFL level players.

You're drafting flawed players at this point. Lots of NFL starters knocking around, as evidenced by every NFL roster and the law of averages.

I think the idea here is due to the odd circumstances created by the covid season, more guys will slip through the early round cracks than normal.

Possible. Though in general it also means that it’s very difficult this year to scout.

That is the first one I am legitimately upset about missing on in Jabril Cox.  We were there and could've taken him and traded back.

I honestly didn't like his instincts when I watched his cut-ups. Athletic, but looked lost at times.

The stats over a decade. It takes a decade worth of fourth round picks to hit that statistic. This is basic math. Look up the by year hit rate.

What is it you are trying to say here? If 60 % of the league is made of players from the forth and down, then there is NFL level players to be found you said thats not the case.

Yeah not a fan of trading down in rounds 2 and 3, now it’s almost troll level how many times we’ve traded down.

hedging your bet that you’ll find a diamond in the rough in rounds where statistically the outcome of that happening is slim, if we have the same grade for all these guys than I except those guys who went before us not to out shine our 7 6th round picks we’ll be fielding. This is dangerous

Sure you can keep going. But the thousands of players who’ve never played a snap dwarfs your list of pro bowlers

But you're giving yourself more chances to find them what are you not understanding  here??.. Your logic is dumb..

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
