I don't necessarily think Trent Scott getting the nod at LT is a weird idea.

He might not keep it, but hey...

It was the "plays well" part that I consider bold. I think he's okay, but I'm hoping the Christensen pick pushes him to work his ass off. If he can be better than average, I'll be thrilled.

Agree with @rayzorthat Rhule wins Coach of the Year.

How could he not when he pulls this off?:

Last year, Panthers only averaged 21.9 PPG (10 behind GB).  This year that jumps to an average of 30.6 per game.

And couple that with our D only allowing 20.2 per game, vs the 25.1 a year ago.  (from -3.2 to +10.4.

Surprise winner of the Division.

15 TDs for CMC.

Hmm my bold prediction...

- Shaq Thompson doesnt make the pro bowl but is in the conversation for DPOY

- CMC comes just short of 1000/1000 again.

- DJ Moore is top 3 in yards

- The MVP of the d line is Brown

- Darnold has 8 come from behind games this year. Including a game where he put up 45+ points.

I’ll just take a snippet from what I posted yesterday.

1. Terrace Marshall becomes Dwayne Jarrett. (On the field not off the field, I hear y’all crying already).

2. Panthers fail at LT again. Christenson becomes a long term guard though.

3. Will Grier beats out PJ Walker

4. Sam Darnold proves himself and keeps the job going into next year.

5. Bouye and Perryman are failed experiments.

6. Panthers trade Shaq Thompson at season end.

7. Donte Jackson gets franchise tagged at season end and traded or over payed.

8. Paradis gets resigned.

Sam Darnold throws for over 4,000 yards.

I don't see that happening.

Not because of any problems with Darnold - I think he's going to be great.   But I predict the Panthers are going to have a very balanced offense next year.  A strong rushing attack helps  support Darnold and plays to the teams new strengths (Deonte Brown, David Moore, a healthy CMC, Chuba).

Last year the Panthers were 21st in rushing.  This year it will be top 10.

    • I mean I just don't understand the argument. Baker and Sam both have been pro bowl QBs post their time here. And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.
    • Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.
    • Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
