On the defensive side of the ball, rookie cornerback Keith Taylor made the biggest play.

Will Grier’s pass was tipped, allowing Taylor to come up with the interception. The Panthers took Taylor in the fifth round of the 2021 draft. Defensive coordinator Phil Snow has been complimentary of the rookie this offseason.

Ball wasn't tipped by the defense. Hit WR Bryant in the hands and proceeded to go right through them.

Jonathan Alexander's write up for the Observer from Today's minicamp practice has more detail than the other recaps I've seen so far from today:

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article252161728.html

a few snippets:

Albeit two of the Panthers’ best pass rushers were wearing a red jersey and did not participate in 11-on-11 drills, Darnold was accurate. He threw two touchdowns passes — one to running back Reggie Bonnafon and another to tight end Ian Thomas. Both were inside the 10-yard line on situational drills.

Darnold also threw a 40-yard Hail Mary pass to Dan Arnold, though the defense was asked to back off. Still, the catch was impressive as he was able to keep both feet in bounds in the back of the end zone.

In the situational drills, McCaffrey served as a captain for the offense, and Shaq Thompson was the captain of the defense. Both were allowed to call timeouts if needed.

From the article...

Coach Matt Rhule said he wasn’t concerned with Thomas’ drops.

(cough) bullsh-t (cough)

Then why are you here? What else is there to talk about right now? Your bullshit of criticizing others for wanting to discuss the team and football in general is getting old.

I don't often agree with you but this is one time I do.

Making observations about what is going on with the Team in Camp should not be a bad thing.

We are fans and this is a Fan-board of the team we are watching and rooting for.

So it makes sense to over-analyze/under-analyze/just-plain-analyze what is going on.

Because.....what else is there to do at the moment? *shrugs*

The over analysis of dang mini camp is nauseating

I feel like that time to time, best way to solve this is taking a break form the huddle. Worked for me recently on a memorial day break. I do the same for panther.com and their fluff over load content.

Plus since 2017 the panthers have NOT given much to get excited about. I view this optimism as MUCH with welcome given the last couple years and Ive gotten the pessimist label plenty of times.

Goodluck fellow panther fan!

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
