Is Terrace Marshall the rookie most likely to succeed?

Marshall has the best odds IMO of being the most loved rookie on the huddle. 

Lot of that has to do with where he landed and the position he landed in.   WRs in today’s NFL have an easier time making a positive impact over other positions.  Joe Brady can insert his guy into good opportunities….CMC, DJ Moore, Robby will all garner more attention/respect. 

Horn likely has a bumpy year one.  DB is a really tough position to excel in right away. Or in general.  Lot of great WRs. Hardly any great DBs.   Especially in today’s NFL.   And his game is going to have to be revamped.  Which will take some time most likely.

Marshall is ideally probably third in targets, at best? Certainly you dont want him getting more than CMC and Moore. 

He might do better in that role than Horn does as the presumptive CB1, who's to say.

Marshall has Moore and Anderson to take the pressure off him.  Our WR Corps could be the best we have had in years (decades).  This IMO is why Marshall will be our best draft pick in 2021.

However, I do believe that many of our picks will see significant playing time and 2021 will become our best draft ever. 

I would be genuinely shocked if this draft is better than 2020. I'm down for it, though. We really need to crush as many drafts as possible to aid in the rebuild.

And that is one heck of a safety valve for sure. Here's my thinking. Sam loves the middle of the field. Rhule has said he likes Terrace in the slot for the matchups. So it's a natural progression to think Terrace can be Sams safety valve. Or, I could be wrong. And it winds up being CMC Anywho.

The 2020 draft was great but I think in the end our 2021(to our advantage) will out do 2020.

If we could have two more great drafts we would be in great shape and have many starters in their rookie contracts which allows for filling our team with studs on one or two year deals.

I only went to 1 day of camp but I will say I was surprised at Thomas - he definitely didn't look like a guy giving up live previous reports had mentioned a while back.  I was hoping to see more from Arnold but he looked a bit timid to me - maybe just because of no pads and he did take a shot from Burris.

It's were he shined in college. I also think he can play outside but maybe need to adjust and develop a year or two to thrive. Around 80% of Marshalls snaps were from the slot. Don't remember if it was in 2020 or his whole college career.

Curtis Samuel had a vast majority from the slot and these needs to be replaced by someone.

David Moore had a majority on the outside, maybe 55% and slight majority on the right side. So he is probably on rotation for the outside. 

Marshall also dominated in contested catches, win rate similar to his slot snap, 80%.

So to my point. You could end up being right about Marshall being some form of safety option. Have to check my note, but I think he also was good at maintain separation and stay open.

Or Arnold.  A tall TE with good hands, reliably finding the seam is another 'safety valve' of sorts.

3WR set with Terrace in one slot and Arnold in the other. Or lined up next to the tackle. Or in motion.

 

BAM the middle of the field is covered.
