Grier will likely be cut with the last group

While we at it...let PJ get a crack with the ones, give Sam some more time to.... whatever he needed this week.

The 3rd preseason game, a whole half of Darnold...

But that line needs to be addressed now, starting 5 should be ready by next week or have a better ideal of who and where

I’m not opposed to that. Let them all get a crack with the 1s,2s,3s. I’m not against anyone of them. I just don’t want people to come to conclusion of the guys future with Martez Ivey at LT and Giovanni Ricci catching the ball.

I'm not going to put the last nail in the coffin on Grier until I see him play with the twos. He deserves his day in the sun.

Agreed.  He looked better today than last we saw of him...in 2019.  PJ also looked improved from last year...mostly better decision making which is great.  Those 3rd string guys were so bad.  I did not see every play, I have a 3 year old, but what I saw he was mostly accurate and the receivers dropped a lot.  He went 6/10 and from what I saw good decision making.  I saw two drops, which would have made his stat line 8/10.  I did see the throw on 3rd down go over the guys head.  I thought he played a bit tepid overall.

I think people saying he's the worst backup QB in the league are out of their damn minds.  Compared to his play today, I've seen worse.....this week. 🙄

I don’t think so. PJ took his reps with the 2s while Grier had to take his reps with the 3s.

Grier had somebody in his face every play. Ivey was is LT and Monteiro was his RT.

Giovanni Ricci was also his only receiver getting open. PJ had Marshall and Moore.

Brady also ran the ball 7 times and passed it 21 when PJ was in. He only threw the ball 10 times and ran it 12 times with Grier.

Let Grier take his reps with the 2s next week and see if we have the same opinion.

PJ’s two biggest plays were a byproduct of the play breaking down because he was using his feet.

I think PJ has Tyrod Taylor potential.  I’ve just never seen anything from Grier.

I can't see how they justify keeping Grier around at this point. They will need him for the third preseason game, and PERHAPS put him on the practice squad to run the scout team. Other than that, I think PJ showed today he is light years ahead of Grier.

This aged well

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
