Right--48% completion percentage.  He is a decent backup--maybe in the top 25 for reserve QBs.   Heck, the bears might have 3 QBs better than all of ours.  Not dissing Sam D, but it is possible.

Okay, first if all, I apologize to the mods for another thread treading the same topic over and over. But after reading this, from a non-Carolina fan, where's there's smoke....

Now, I wanted to make it a poll, PJ or Sam... simple, who do you have more faith in as a fan, not what anyone else thoughts, like coaches, reporters, etc...but your honest opinion. This is the off season regardless how this season goes, good or bad, we in it together. Alot of people like to talk the talk, use others opinions as facts, so who's willingly to walk the walk. Let's have fun, if you on the fence cool...but there's clearly a division amongst us when it comes to how we deal with the QB position.

You have to be a fool to think not one person in that locker room thinks PJ deserves his shot ...can they openly say anything right now, no, but you can see, almost feel the energy because that's hope, inspirational.....

Neither...

Hope for the best for both, expectations are very low.  

That said, competition is very unpredictable and let a guy get his foot in the door...

...crazy things happen.  

Drew Bledsoe signed the first $100,000,000 contract/largest in NFL history and promptly got beat out...

...hmm, me thinks the odds of Sam seeing some playing time sooner rather than later are increasing 🤣

      Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.

      We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).

      I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
