you hope he is.  which is fine.

but he is most definitely a fringe starter at this moment and Rhule doesn't want a to deal w/ what a Menshew type brings.

Fanbases dramatize everything (that isn't unique to the huddle).  So does the media.

What exactly is a "fringe starter"?

I thought a Starter was a Starter.   🤷‍♂️

^^^^^ ....so....I am guessing, CRA, that you don't know what a fringe starter is then?

The silence does not answer any questions, man.

My bad.  It’s pretty easy.

a fringe starter, the way I define it, is someone that isn’t very good but can earn a starting role on a team that doesn’t really have much at the position or finds themselves in a bad spot.

take our LT as an example.  He is a fringe starter.  You put him on 32 other rosters….and he is a backup on the vast majority of them.   But he starts for us.  How long?  Who knows.

Give all 32 teams Sam.  How many would start him over their QB?  Maybe 1? Hou?

Now,  maybe Sam can develop into something better. That is the goal and plan.  But he is what he is present day.

I just saw a video that said, "Will Greir Highlights. Welcome to Dallas."  I didn't watch it because I didn't want to waste 3 seconds.

I just peaked at it and it's all his incompletions and sacks LOL. James Morgan's week 3 preseason game starting at around 4 minutes is better than anything Grier could compile from the last couple years

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
