Talk to me about the Jets. What do you know?

This week the Panthers host the Jets in the season opener. We all expect this to be a W. The Jets have had their typical horrible luck with injuries and also have a rookie QB in his first start.

 

What are you looking for? What are your concerns?

Biggest concern is Darnold getting rattled early and often from the left side of the line. If I'm the Jets, I'm attacking non stop from that side until we can stop it.

At this point, not much.

Their head coach is a rookie and their GM has only been in place for 2 years (basically the flipside of us) plus they have a rookie quarterback.

Yes they've been bad for years, but same as with us their prior failures have no bearing on a new leadership group.

It's going to be interesting to see how things play out.

You know, it's nice that we don't have to worry about the other coaching staff knowing Darnold very well. Might as well be a whole different team in that respect.

My biggest concern is not rattling Wilson early and letting him get into a rhythm. Dude is a rookie starting his first game, the last thing we need is to let him get comfortable.

I’m not a Darnold hater, but he still worries me. I think it’s crucial that he gets out to a good start.

First games of the season are usually weird toss ups and I’m just gonna assume weird poo is going to happen. Teams are figuring out themselves for the first several games. 
 

im guessing it’s gonna be a lot of cmc and hopefully our pass rush is nasty to make Wilson very uncomfortable.

Unfortunately Tremble can't block everyone. Elfien and Paradis worry me the most. At the beginning of the 2nd we will see Moton on the left and Christianson on the right.

It's so ridiculous that the team is fighting against this.  They made some bone-head FA signings, but instead of chalking it up a loss, they are damning the torpedoes and going full steam ahead with this train wreck on the left side.

facing our pass rush is not ideal for a rookie QB, especially with their Oline.

The sooner we get Darnold to believe that he is a good QB that was in a horrible situation (whether true or not), the fast he will calm down and gain confidence.

That side, what do I know about the Jets?  QWill is a real beast, and with our IOL the weak leak on the team...ooh wee mayne

If we don't win against the Jets it will be a long season and the haters will begin to hate .

The Jets HC, along with every other HC,  will blitz and pressure Darnold all day.
