First time Darnold got a passer rating better than his last 17 games was when his o-line won only 20% of their pass blocks. Haha!

The fact he did it with a o-line that’s softer than a paper towel when it comes to winning their pass blocking is even more impressive.

And meanwhile, the "Golden Child" Zach Wilson ended up with an 82+ passer rating combined with a very sore neck.

Worth noting that Sam had something like 7 games with >100 QB rating in his first 28 games before that streak started. Hopefully he can find more consistency here.  He is off to a promising start.

I prefer to think of our oline as the quilted quicker picker upper.

How you figure that?  Our offense put up 19 points.  Last year, 19 points in a game would rank your offense 30th in the league in scoring.  Not sure who would want a coordinator as a coach whose scoring offense ranks somewhere between 24th and 30th.

In the end, the success of an offense is putting points on the board.  Brady has not yet demonstrated he can make that happen.

We were two missed throws in the endzone from scoring 30+. 

Brady had a good gameplan.   Sam just needed to execute better.

Even I can see that.

Did you watch the second half? How can you excuse a half of poor play calling while blaming it all on 2 very catchable throws that were off by an inch at most?

And if I am reading the numbers correctly, their D was a top 20 unit vs us in week 1? That seems high for a unit with very little talent.

I wonder if that percentage has anything to do with the amount of screens and short dump offs we threw? Seriously, just a thought.
