Any thoughts on how we're able to shut down the running game? Is it the d-line (I've seen Burns and Reddick very involved in run D rather than just existing as pass rush specialists), is Brown that good at clogging up the middle? Are our LBs playing like the second coming of the Three Horsemen (Luke, Davis and Thompson)? Big support from DBs and safeties?

Or is it just an overall explosion of motivation? The entire defense seems to take this personal that they will own the field. There are so many of them in on every tackle, very little standing around and being out of place. Playing with drive and desire.

Dang, this iteration of the Panthers has been long awaited!

Scheme and the personnel to execute said scheme. Our D is literally designed to shut down zone blocking schemes along the defensive line.

I wanted Derrick Brown because a guy like him changes everything.  There is a domino effect with a guy like that.

Fox as well, his ability to move from game and read the gaps and go to the right one while shedding blocks to get to the carrier is fuging insane. He's a great complimentary piece to Brown. They, along with YGM, are the ones doing the dirty work so the LB's and S's can run around, blitz or get to the runner if they break the first level.

I'm looking for Dallas to run a lot of 12 personnel. They tend to spread you out and go empty with it.

And they will get run over if they do that. People have broken down how our defense actually forcese teams to do this and it allows them to become ferocious getting to the QB.

It's really designed to adapt. You put a hat on a hat it's bad news. You zone it's bad news. It's a combination of scheme and talent.

Haven't you heard?  Kamara forgot how to run and  the Saints OL forgot how to block during our game and didn't have the the defensive assistant coaches there to remind them how.  Poor sobs.

You forgot to mention that they were apparently down to 3rd string players on both sides of the ball minus Jameis and Kamara.

Oh, and Sean Peyton was the only coach available on all of Louisiana who didn't have the Roni 🙄

    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
    • oh now that's what you call Mother Fiuggure fans the ones that always have this fierce protective shield around the team no matter if they win or lose  & to be honest there is nothing really wrong with being a Mother Fiugguer fan they just have a different meaning or sense of what a true fan really is                                                 ☺️
    • I'd gamble, miles josh green and 2-3 firsts especially if we could trade both this years and 1 future
