How much do you have to hate Cam to want him back when we still don't have our crap together?

I hope he finds a spot later in the year on a contender. It's a mercy he doesn't come back here right now. Too desperate and very mediocre.

We spent a 2nd on Sam, no way to flip it this year. Just suck it up and go out to be a mediocre team.

Cam definitely had some horrible lines too. Combined with Shulas constant desire to run long developing plays (ones like sending J Stew on go routes lmao) and having receivers with the worst separation ability in the entire nfl was a recipe for disaster. Cam was just so big and fast and evasive that he made them look better than they were which was still terrible.

Its not a coincidence that once Cam went down any QB trying to play was killed right away lol.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
