Which "Big" Panther player (offense or defense) will get traded, if Scott Fitterer is "in on every trade"?

I don't want to see a fire sell but if the move is justified and can net draft capital, we should be taking a long look at it.

Jackson is an easy example. Last year of his deal and its a stacked position. Even Anderson is on the table at this point, just call it needing to switch things up.

As long as they handle it with skill and don't go wild with it, they could pull a trade or two off before the deadline.

I am not sure we will be "splash" active in the trade market prior to the deadline.

The question becomes who do you go get? The obvious answer is OL but Fitterer has stated that he can't even get teams to come off backup OL.

But, if you are trading away assets to get more draft capital, that sort of indicates tanking incoming. Every trade we made so far was a "win now" trade not a draft capital trade.

If we could get anything for Robby on that contract sign me up. What a mistake. Draft Terrace Marshall and Shi Smith but re-sign Robby to a huge extension. Made no sense.

Huge head scratcher. We should be set for next year w Dj and Terrace outside w Shi in the slot. I guess you don’t need offensive linemen as long as you have too many WRs and too many CBs.

Gotta say...if we continue to lose i could see them shopping Donte before trade deadline because after that.... you either pay him or watch him walk. Its a lot of CB needy teams that are good right now that would bite. For the record, i dont like saying this because i want to keep him.

It's hardly a "huge" extension. Short term and the money isn't insane or anything. Also Marshall got beat out by Zylstra recently, he really hasn't shown enough at all yet to be counted on. Robby has been trash this year but he was phenomenal last year. I think he'll turn it around. And if not, criticizing the contract is more of a hindsight 20/20 deal. Robby was a #1 WR with the Jets and a great 1b for us last year. He deserved that contract.

About trading Action Jackson....

He is going to cost a ton.  We have Horn. We have Henderson.  We have Gilmore for the rest of the year.  Bouye is on the team. Taylor looked great vs. Minnesota.

He is expendable.

However, he is a popular guy in the locker room...so its complicated.

Go get the KC backup Center Austin Blythe--he can also play G.  He is better than our starting center and either guard.  Nuff said.

Hopefully it’s Erving, Daley, Paradis, and Miller. They’re pretty big names for Matt Rhule. It would be nice if we could clear Shaq Thompson off the book.

Shaq?!?!  WTF no way.  He has been absolutely balling this year.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
