If we land Watson we would also have Sam Darnold's 18 million dollar cap hit next season. Might as well trade away Brian Burns an/or Donte Jackson since we would not be able to re-sign them

I would honestly quit the Panthers if this happens

Is there a link to this?

It was on some show back when we were first talking about trading for him though. Not everything is an article. Matter  of fact most things these days aren't.

Carolina's interest in Watson has been strong throughout the offseason since the quarterback acknowledged publicly he wasn't happy and later met with first-year coach David Culley. The Panthers were reportedly one of three teams on Watson's "wishlist" and owner David Tepper is willing to do what he can to build his team around the former Clemson star.

Also it'd be super quick for DW to just be like "nope not Carolina" at any point at all during this as everyone knows we been a team including him...he hasn't done that which speaks for itself too.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
