Unless Tepper has done some deep digging and has good reason to believe this scandal is a nothing burger, I want no part of it.

It’s sets a bad example and reeks of desperation. Character should matter. If there’s any credibility to these stories then it sends a wrong message to the fans. I also feel it will cost us too much. We have some serious home grown blue chip players emerging. And we’ll just make more holes to fill in trading them.

Love the talent, and if the allegations are all BS then by all means trade for him. But I don’t see how we win if he gets charged and or banned from playing.

The real problem here is our only strength is drafting talent and if we give that away we are depending on the coaching staff to evaluate very expensive trades and that hasn't worked out well. They need to stick to what they know, drafting college kids.

We should pass on Watson, continue to rebuild and draft our way out of this mess. The D is improved from last year and if we had CMC heathy this season we prob could add two more wins to our record and our QB wouldn't be mental.

Some people buy things just because they are expensive. Houses, cars, girlfriends. You know the type.

They never look behind the scenes and see what wise people do --  that there's no need for four more bedrooms than you have people, that the Bentley doesn't get you there any more reliably than a Toyota, or that the gold-digger is just there because you shower her with gifts. Sadly, though, those folks, when they're proven wrong can just put on their Tom Brady jersey and get tickets for another team's games.

Those of us who are more interested in the long term, and doing the right thing, are all about hoping DeShaun gets to travel to a state income tax haven state like Florida. There, he can sit on the commissioner's exempt list for a year or two while his peccadillos are investigated. We can rebuild like a smart team and avoid doubling down on our mistakes by taking Houston's mistakes into our own house.

The cost is too high, the potential is iffy (the guy has been sitting for a year now and may have to for another, and honestly character counts -- there's no kind of guarantee he won't go out seeking masseuse/prostitutes again.

I can’t do it

the cost  and his sexual history combined will haunt this franchise for decades

I’m not sure where this investigation is going or the length of time it’s taking, nut I do remember Rae Carruth.   I remember Greg Hardy.  I remember the owner selling the family business vs letting an investigation go.

I know the NFl is littered with this and worse but our franchise needs not to be part of this

I'm all in for trading for Watson, However I can't say at this point I'd trade the "farm". Right now I'd meet em somewhere in between let's say a 1 first but not next yr Robbie and one of our corners more than likely Donte but I believe the Fitt could get away with Henderson, and/or Bouye, hell I'd even throw in Ian Thomas, and 2 thirds neither of next yr. Still a lot of capitol but no way in hell do I give them 3 first and 3 starters until I know the outcome of the case.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
