Do we even want to talk about the Falcons game or are we just chalking up another loss?

I'm sorry, my guitar playing friend, but I'm not giving up yet.  Rhule will put some fire under some asses and we will win.  21 Panthers - 10 Atlanta.

If the game was at home, I'd have more optimism, but even our 15-1 team dropped the game in Atlanta. I hope Darnold bounces back from a bad showing against the Giants and can move the team.

Falcons 20

Panthers 13

But why win, hell might as well take CMC out for another year and trade him?

That’s loser talk we’re a competent qb and solid off-season away from being a playoff team you don’t trade your best player just because. If you want to limit his reps a lot more (which we should do regardless) and let Chuba get more run cool but I’m of the opinion that *next* year is the year we should be a playoff team. Rhule inherited a disaster of a roster and he’s significantly improved it I just think Jerry Jones was right when he said when you hire a college coach  “You pay a price for somebody to get up to date.”

Mike Davis revenge game…..he got less than a handful of carries last week, so I fully expect him to put up pro bowl number against us.

Did you not see his "revenge game" last year against the Bears?

Fumbled for the first and only time in some ridiculously crazy stat and did a great Mike Tolbert SuperBowl edition impression by doing that and generally looking like a fat and slow slob.

I think this next game will be very telling about the identity of this team. After losing to a lesser Giants team and playing uninspired. If Panthers lose next week, it will tell a lot about Coach Rhule and his staff. I refuse to believe that we have a less talented roster compared to the Giants and Falcons, if we lose it's because of the coaching staff. As head coach, you are paid millions of dollars to get the best out of your players and put them in position to succeed.

Rhule is done and we’re not even done with year two. We’re getting worse, sorry but can’t agree with you there.

Yeah he looks really bad right now, and it’s looking like he will be cut next year. With that being said I bet he gets 200 yards and 3 TD’s this week against us because the defense it on the field 95 percent of the game.

This sounds EXACTLY like you are talking about last season with Bridgewater. Its just the same poo on repeat.

So we bottom out like the Eagles and just don’t try and lose even more fans? I was at the Eagles game it was damn near a home game for them. We’ve got to at least try to win I’ll never want to root for a team that actively tanks.

personally I think it’s time we start tanking…but to be honest I’m not sure what they can even do to win if they wanted to…so is that really tanking?

who cares really, what we don’t need is a Rivera trademarked 7-10 season getting fuged from all directions

I'd prefer they keep trying. Because it's apparent they can't coach for poo. If we start trying to lose, Rhule might fug up and win a game or two.

    • I get it's subjective and I said "PFF rated him as" one of the top deep ball passers during that time, which is an accurate statement.  They are still a group of professionals that look at film and data in order to make their judgements/ratings.  These people whose data has been incorporated into a lot of teams' staffs view Bryce's deep throws as some of the best in the league during that stretch.  That tells me that he can probably throw a deep pass vs the Huddle's version of he is small and didn't do it his rookie year so he must not be able to.  That and literally seeing him do it just makes me feel he is more than capable of doing so.   Do you think PFF is skewing their opinion to prop up a QB in a bottom tier franchise?  It's just another group's opinion and I feel is pretty respected around the league currently.  It's not the gospel truth or anything.
    • I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
    • He had 251 passing yards. 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. All in all a very impressive game. Problem is I do not envision his rushing ability translating like that over the course of the upcoming season. Yeah it will be something to account for from time to time but one it's not sustainable and two you don't want to put his durability to the ultimate test against a motivated defender willing to take a penalty and a fine. And plus with our backfield. Two 1k yard rushers. That's what they're here for. Then we have a much improved WR room. That means Bryce has to elevate those passing numbers substantially. The fact of the matter is regardless of circumstances it did take him 23 games to surpass Kyle Allen's single season passing yardage from 13 games in 2020. And that is not a high bar by any means. Whatever QB tier Bryce ends up in from here amongst his peers this upcoming season when it's all said and done it will be with his arm.
