At least he recognizes there's an issue and is seeking help to fix it. Too many times for too many people this ends badly and just gets swept under the rug and forgotten about.

Yeah, even as a division rival I hope him the best with whatever is going on. I hope he can get things figured out and come back if he wants.

On the same note, seen some very ungrateful Falcons fans dogging on him for this. So much so the mods in the Falcons Reddit had to start threatening bans

I hate that for him.  As a human being, you don't want to see this happen to anyone, but hopefully he can get the help he needs to be happy and healthy.

Yeah, it's great from a play perspective because he's a really good WR, but beyond the field, you wish nothing but the best for most of these players.  They are giving up their bodies for our entertainment, and I just wish him the best.

Ya, hopefully he’s getting what ever kind of help he needs at this point. For him to be out on a Sunday you got to think what ever it is, is very serious. I hate to speculate but has he had any issues with concussions in his career? There’s been a couple hockey players around the league this year that had to take a step back because they were on the brink of(or attempted) suicide due to concussions.

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
