Which trade was worse 2nd for Darnold or 3rd for Henderson?

I’d say 3rd for Henderson. This young man has been a HEALTHY scratch and is basically going to be out of the league by the end of the season

Darnold while proving to be likely our worst second rounder not named Everette Brown, he at least has a future in the Matt Leinart Clipboard Holding Academy as a backup QB

Both were awful.  Henderson just isn’t cut out for the nfl.  That trade hurts badly not only because we lost a 3rd rounder, but also the only TE on our roster worth a darn.

Sams deal set us back a few years.  We passed on two QBs that are better than Sam and lost multiple picks.

Before hating on Henderson just remember how long it took josh Norman to develop, hell even Jackson wasn’t good at first. Some players just take a few years to develop. Henderson isn’t as bad as many 1st round CBs have been. He’s been okay but still has potential.

Darnold was a high risk, high reward shot. He has the physical ability, so it was a worthwhile risk. Not mad that they gave it a go and are trying to find the future franchise QB. 0-2, let’s see who’s next.

The only reason to be upset is if Darnold is the dude next year. right now is just a matter of living with this one until they can find the next option. with our needs at OL and QB, this is going to be a busy offseason.

Jackson was good his rookie season, Norman was a late round pick.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
