Does anyone have any information on what Cam has done to be so suddenly to be blackballed?

Distraction outweighs talent/contribution.

There’s no way that man shouldn’t be on an NFL roster if not ours, it just seems like there has to be some behind closed doors information that we do not know.

Distraction outweighs talent/contribution.

Not the 1st QB in this bucket in recent times....

OBJ headed down same path...exited by 2 teams -- too big of a distraction, regardless of ability.

Look at his avatar and his member name. Yes, he and a handful of others are Camolina fans only ... and forever.

If they were “camolina” fans, they wouldn’t still be here. Again, I thought you were a smart guy. And it’s more than a handful, that still like/love Cam. It’s a good portion of the state

Its still eating you up that folks don’t hate that man like you do

I'll say one thing, this Panther team is no longer a distraction for it's fans on Sunday.

You need stars/entertainers to fill seats, and entertainers are distracting.

A team of Joe's just won't cut it in the entertainment market. We can go watch LaMelo.

I dont think most people on here hate Cam.  I feel like some people on here are just delusional about the degradation of his skills over the years.  Be it because of his health or otherwise.  He isnt the qb so many people here think he still is.  You can not hate him and think those things.  They arent mutually exclusive.

You can’t be a fan of the Carolina Panthers, and not expect people to bring up Cam. He was one of the greatest players this franchise has had. So, him being brought up shouldn’t be a surprise.

Hmm he wasn’t the greatest to be honest!! He was slow to read defense schemes and took forever to get a playoff!! Athletic yes but not the best Qb!

Playoffs by year 3.  League MVP by year 5.  Seems decent.

Ok good stats.. key point year 3 .. year .5 with Sam,, I did not like Sam back when he was being drafted!! He was horrible!! But he’s our problem unfortunately!! Point is Cam is not the guy!! Carolina has to find the  future qb.. going to Cam is not the answer!! I think Rhule will be a good coach!! From today’s conference I like him more!!

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
