I dunno man, it looked more like the Bucs beat the Bucs and the WTF's just happened to be on the field while it happened.  I don't think it will be "easy", but our defense is on a different level.

Has Rivera ever lost to Bruce Arians in the regular season? I think the playoffs last season was his first time losing to him.

Rivera is one of the best defensive coaches in the NFL, still. His decision making in personnel is suspect and the offenses are always behind the defense, except in 2015, but his defenses are usually great assuming he has even average personnel.

We've only got 7 games left and are fighting for a playoff spot, unfortunately there is no time for slowly anymore.  Its a mad dash to the finish line from here on out.

I  get that. These games are important. But the way the game yesterday went, I don't think you need to rush Cam. On the other hand, there is a weeks worth of practice incoming. Maybe Cam can get more comfortable with the guys around him.

I just think only 1 week of practice is enough for Cam to truly learn the Offense, and gain timing with all the receivers. That's a lot to ask.

Florio said Ron has a whole file of schemes for Cam

He doesn't have one for PJ.

Use them both.

Wow. But he doesn't know how Brady is going to use Cam. He can make some assumptions but, assume wrong, and you'll pay.

I always said, as did many here, that all Rivera was missing with Cam was an offensive line and a modern offensive coordinator. We still don't have an offensive line but we do have a modern offensive coordinator. I expect Brady and Cam will do well to help each other look good, assuming Cam can get his timing down.

It's going to be a project which is why I'm really hopeful that Cam will be back next year as well.

Cam needs most of the reps to get up to speed and learn as much as possible.  He also needs to start.  Talk about energy.  That will be crazy.

all that said, yeah, PJ needs to come in and get work between the 20s.   Cam isn’t going to learn enough in a week….and Ron Rivera knows Cam way too well to have him running just simple Cam plays for 4 quarters, no real audible ability, etc.

I think this should probably be the plan. Ween pj out of the game. Cam will have had only 10 days to learn a new system and timing with receivers against his former hc who is a great defensive coach and knows him best. I think after the bye cam gets full go against atl. I dunno. See how he does with expanded snaps this upcoming game and the week after against Miami. But cam should be the full time starter after the bye week for sure. We are lucky we’re playing not great teams the next two weeks to ease cam back in.

that said the defense is gonna wreck wft offense. They are horrible which should help us out a lot.

Nah, I get it, and hes obviously not going to learn the whole playbook in a week, but hes a 10 year vet at this point.  Im sure a lot of the concepts carry over from offense to offense.  They just need to come up with a gameplan that Cam is comfortable with, and let it rip!

Why not make Ron plan for PJ and Cam? At least try to strategize. Damn

From a gamesmanship standpoint you are right but Ron also already knows the obvious after last night's game and will be planning for Cam regardless.

I can see that. The more Cam gets comfortable. The more you put on his plate.

As long as PJ is playing well, the 2 QB situation is fine. Once Cam is up to speed. See ya PJ.

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
