If/when Matt Rhule is fired, this place needs to be prepared. There will likely be a firesale. I'm talking top to bottom gutting save for a couple guys that Fitterer decides he wants.

The entire staff (hopefully) will be out the door with Rhule. Whoever we bring in will be tasked with putting together a staff and Fitterer will be involved there after this poo show of a staff.

Then that coach and Fitt sit down and build this team through the draft and then go nuts in free agency to fill it out.

But a lot of names we love? Expect them gone. Could be anybody. Could be everybody.

After this absolute meltdown of year 2, I don't expect Tepper to do nothing. If he does, then he really does not give a fug about winning. This dumpster fire is not going to improve with his staff.

I don’t know.  We are one of the youngest teams in the NFL.  Hard to have a fire sale with our roster.

now we might let a lot of FAs walk.  No Gilmore.  No Reddick.  No Cam.  DJ maybe gone.

not sure who would want CMC’s contract.

At this point if we shipped CMC out I wouldn't be mad even for a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

I would. His value is still more than that. You could fetch a late first round for cMC easily. Just bc this board doesn’t value him, doesn’t mean the league doesn’t want him. Besides we shut him down intentionally this year. He is going to be traded the off-season and we didn’t want to risk his health.

The obsession with moving on from talent to younger unknown draft prospects is mind boggling. This isn’t like moving on from TD, Greg, or even a Charles Johnson

Get a coach in here to make it work.

It’s quite hilarious actually if you think about it…. OP is suggestions fire selling a team with a top 2 defense and playmakers on the offense.

instead of evaluating gaps and filling them, fug it let’s just create more gaps and figure it out all over again……

    • Disclaimer:  In June, I am usually optimistic.  In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop.   Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough.  So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense?   If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8.  Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5.  If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points.   This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better).  Bryce is confident and now a leader.    The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid.  We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety.  Derrick Brown returns.  While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better.   So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
