Rhule throws Sam under the bus.

My point exactly.. No matter who's coaching or who the QB is.. You got to fix the Oline..

One of the main reasons I'm campaigning for Linderbaum with our first round selection.

The dude is the best offensive lineman in the draft. That's what was said about Rashawn Slater last season (was my primary choice followed by Fields), and he's been beasting out in LA.

Christensen has looked like ass as an LT tb100. As an LG? Ok there might be something there. In an ideal world, Deonte Brown turns out to be a mobile mountain at RG and then we're looking for a stopgap at LT (or get lucky developing a day 3 guy).

Charles Cross looks like a really, really good LT prospect though. I wouldn't be mad if the team went with him.

He only does that to Cam.

I actually remember him being critical of some of Sam's play and decisions earlier in the year...It seems so long ago.

There are a lot of things about Rhule and his performance that I (and most Huddlers) do not like. That said the way he "throws players under the bus" is one thing that doesn't bother me as much. When he says "He should have caught that...or so-and-so missed the block or didn't slide.. or the QB can't make that throw." I'm cool with it. He did it to Teddy and others last year. He has criticized multiple players publicly this year.

I'm usually thinking something similar about those occurrences. I just wish he'd and the coaches would do more to help the players execute better. Its so obvious that the scheme is a big part of the problem. Its tough for the players to compete with opponents who have us figured out by the second series.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
